Job mission
As part of ASM's Global Services and Spares team, you will play a key role in driving installation qualification (IQ) performance and supporting continuous improvement across multiple regions. You will collaborate with teams in the US and EU to oversee IQ projects, align budgets, and enhance KPI performance. As the US Tax Manager, based in Phoenix, Arizona, you will become part of the global finance team and be the linking pin between the local business teams and headquarters for any (operational) tax matter. You will be reporting to the Netherlands based Global Head of Tax.
Job description
You will be accountable for managing all operational tax matters in this hands-on role relating to our legal entities and business processes within the US, both for Federal and State tax purposes. This is a broad role in which you will be exposed to corporate income tax, including transfer pricing and tax accounting as well as indirect taxes and custom duties.
You will be cooperating with the tax team located in the Netherlands, Singapore and South Korea on many functional areas such as transfer pricing, tax accounting and tax reporting.
Your key responsibilities include overseeing the preparation and review of all US federal, state and local (corporate) income tax filings (the actual preparation of the tax returns is outsourced to external tax consultants) and related extensions and estimated tax payments. Also included is the preparation and review of all US federal, state and local income tax projections.
You would address tax strategy and research -for example, regarding eligibility of R&D tax credits or foreign tax credits- as well as supporting (international) tax inquiries, tax audits and possible appeals.
You will be part of different project teams, making sure that the relevant (US) tax aspects will be properly addressed.
You will act as the subject matter expert to both regional business teams and corporate business stakeholders.
You should be maintaining constructive relationships with Tax Authority representatives and tax consultants.
Qualifications
Master Degree in Tax law or Tax Economics or Accounting
10+ years of relevant experience with a focus on US corporate income tax, US Federal tax law, international tax principles, transfer pricing and tax accounting.
CPA is preferred
Must have understanding of international (e.g. OECD BEPS 2.0) and US taxation;

As a Principal Process Engineer at ASM, you will work with semiconductor processing and analytical equipment to research, develop and optimize processes focused on oxidation, annealing, curing, Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD, PEALD), Epitaxy or PECVD for logic, memory, analog, power, and MEMS applications. Key Responsibilities
* Creative problem solver with experience in developing new films for emerging applications and experience in chemistry/materials characterization.
* Works with semiconductor processing equipment to research, develop and optimize unit processes focused on the deposition of metal and dielectric films via ALD, PEALD, Epitaxy, and/or PECVD.
* Bringing innovative ideas, staying abreast of state-of-the-art processing applications in the semiconductor industry to be effective.
* Process consulting and accountability including technical papers on advanced process applications and Intellectual Property creation.
* Provides mentorship to other Process Engineers within the team.
* Participates in and drives technical problem-solving sessions using the related scientific method and industry tools, such as Ishikawa diagrams.
* Designs and conducts experiments, in addition to measuring and interpreting experimental output, aimed at fulfilling stated objectives using Design of Experiments (DOE) and Response Surface Methodology (RSM).
* Troubleshoots equipment problems and is personally and actively engaged in problem via "hands-on" modalities.
* Works with customers and central marketing to understand and define requirements to successfully execute and document customer demonstrations.
* Develops methods and techniques for integrating metal and/or oxide films into existing and future device technologies.
* Ensures successful product transfer to customer base by performing demonstrations, training field service personnel, traveling to support remote sites (up to 10% travel required), and drafting documentation regarding process development, tool operation and maintenance.
* Produces technical papers on process, equipment, and device integration improvement strategies and presents to professional audience.
* You may be assigned supervisory duties over supporting process engineering technicians and aides. These supervisory duties could include direct input into employees' performance evaluations, discipline, and discharge.
Qualifications

* 7+ years of combined education, research, and work experience with:

We are looking for a talented Training Developer to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona.
Responsibilities:
* Design and develop interactive web/computer based content and instructor led/facilitated training for complex electromechanical equipment, including needs assessment, learning objectives, student certification, tracking and follow-up measurement.
* Work with subject matter experts, engineers, and trainers to create engaging, interactive, instructionally sound courses that meet their business needs.
* Convert existing courses to modular format (basic, intermediate and advanced levels), create and updated instructor guides and student handouts.
* Create table based quizzes for the classroom using an interface template.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in instructional design/education or a technical field is required
* 3+ years of experience creating new web-based courses, simulations, and instructor-led courses
* Experienced in multiple industry authoring and publishing tools including Articulate Storyline 360 & SuccessFactors
* Experience with Criterion Referenced Instruction and/or Performance Based Equipment Training methodologies is a plus.
Competencies:
* Proficient in Microsoft Suite including: Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
* Ability to work independently on multiple projects with little supervision
* Project management skills - time management, stakeholder management, & scope management.
* Interpersonal skills - experienced in influencing others, written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
* Training Development - defining objectives and success criteria.
