As the US Tax Manager, based in Phoenix, Arizona, you will become part of the global finance team and be the linking pin between the local business teams and headquarters for any (operational) tax matter. You will be reporting to the Netherlands based Global Head of Tax. Job description You will be accountable for managing all operational tax matters in this hands-on role relating to our legal entities and business processes within the US, both for Federal and State tax purposes. This is a broad role in which you will be exposed to corporate income tax, including transfer pricing and tax accounting as well as indirect taxes and custom duties. You will be cooperating with the tax team located in the Netherlands, Singapore and South Korea on many functional areas such as transfer pricing, tax accounting and tax reporting. Your key responsibilities include overseeing the preparation and review of all US federal, state and local (corporate) income tax filings (the actual preparation of the tax returns is outsourced to external tax consultants) and related extensions and estimated tax payments. Also included is the preparation and review of all US federal, state and local income tax projections. You would address tax strategy and research -for example, regarding eligibility of R&D tax credits or foreign tax credits- as well as supporting (international) tax inquiries, tax audits and possible appeals. You will be part of different project teams, making sure that the relevant (US) tax aspects will be properly addressed. You will act as the subject matter expert to both regional business teams and corporate business stakeholders. You should be maintaining constructive relationships with Tax Authority representatives and tax consultants. Qualifications Master Degree in Tax law or Tax Economics or Accounting 10+ years of relevant experience with a focus on US corporate income tax, US Federal tax law, international tax principles, transfer pricing and tax accounting. CPA is preferred Must have understanding of international (e.g. OECD BEPS 2.0) and US taxation; Experience with a U.S. multinational corporation is strongly preferred Skills This role requires a tax manager who could cooperate in a global team-oriented environment, work under pressure and meet deadlines. This tax manager has strong numerical and analytical skills. Travel may be required on an as needed basis. Self-starter who shows initiative Able to keep abreast of current and proposed legislation Being able to work with new rules and ambiguity to develop analysis and guidance on novel issues SAP knowledge preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to covey complicated tax regulations in layman terms. Qualifications * Master's or PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or Physics * 7+ years of combined education, research, and work experience with: * Cure, oxidation, ALD, CVD, Epitaxy, PECVD and/or other thin film deposition. * Materials characterization techniques such as XPS, SIMS, RBS, AFM, XRR, XRD, TEM, SEM and ellipsometry. * Knowledge of electrical characterization techniques for CMOS devices. * Application of dielectric and/or metal films for logic and memory structures. * Training in CFD (computational fluid dynamics), either theoretical or practical is preferred. * Knowledge of electrical characterization techniques for CMOS devices is preferred. The Key Account Technologist is the ASM product expert who supports extensive customer and internal company contacts for coordinating the introduction of new products, product improvements, and non-conformances/escalations at the customer. This includes leading projects/programs supporting these activities. The focus of this job is on managing all the technical account aspects of the customers in the assigned region. Responsibilities: Drive NPI & evaluations by leading the project including hands-on work at the customer location, implement BU developed BKMs or CIPs at customer and execute necessary actions and modifications. As a member of the Global Sales and Services business unit, our HVM (High Volume Manufacturing) Field Process Engineering team is the on-site process application expert in improving process run on our tool sets at our customer locations. In this role, the Field Process Engineer drives the process improvement projects, is responsible for tracing tool performance and ensuring the ASM products meets our customers requirement. The Field Process Engineer is a technical bridge between the customer process teams, the customers hardware teams and the customer account team. Key Responsibilities On-site process support: Serve as the single point of contact for customers, troubleshooting malfunctions, managing concerns and resolving escalations effectively. Proactively support escalations, develop and manage action plans, and ensure clear communication between customer, service team, business unit, or other sub-suppliers. Ability to travel up to 25%, as necessary and possibly for extended periods of time for training and technical engagement, as well as to other Customer sites, as needed. The Principal Key Account Technologist is the ASM product expert who supports extensive customer and internal company contacts for coordinating the introduction of new products, product improvements, and non-conformances/escalations at the customer.
