You'll work closely with designers, printers, and clients to ensure high-quality, print-ready files are delivered on time.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and edit digital artwork for various print projects (brochures, flyers, magazines, etc.)
Perform image editing tasks like color correction, retouching, and resizing
Ensure layouts adhere to brand guidelines and printing specifications
Create high-resolution PDFs and manage file versions for prepress
Proofread final files for any errors or inconsistencies
Communicate effectively with designers, printers, and clients regarding project needs and revisions

What You'll Do:
Develop master print mechanicals and digital layouts from master artwork files delivered by external partners, ensuring quality and consistency.
Adapt files via scaling, cropping, retouching, repositioning, or eliminating defective imaging to generate quality and consistent artwork.
Resize pre-existing key art based on various specs provided and prep print mechanical and digital-ready files. Specs can range from Bus Shelters and One Sheets to Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) badges/covers.
Effectively communicate and understand production specifications to/from Production Managers and Art Director and Sr. Designer.
Amend layouts and implement changes based on feedback from IMAX Creative team members including Designers and Art Director.
Collaborate closely with Senior Designer and Art Director to ensure the approved look and feel of campaigns/artwork are implemented across various size adaptations.
Work with Production Managers and Coordinators to deliver files for distribution.
Package and prepare files for delivery to stakeholders, vendors and printers.
Maintain production files, including fonts, images, logos and other artwork elements on our server.
Ensure assignments are being completed on time and with proper naming conventions.
Troubleshoot problems as they arise with both the creative team and the production team.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree or at least 3 years of professional experience as a production artist or design experience in relevant industries
Stay up to date with current graphic design trends, techniques and software
Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $112,200 and $144,200 per year.
