Key Purpose of the Job:
DNEG's Feature Animation department has been slowly building over the past couple of years and we are delighted to officially launch the new facility. Together we will bring the vision of both major Hollywood studios and independent productions to life.
Our Matte Painters work closely with the Matte Painting Supervisor to understand the Art Direction of the film. You will create detailed matte painted elements, using projections and illustrations that are to be used to create believable environments. Using your understanding of perspective, lighting and colour to produce work that fits with the style of the project. You will also be collaborating with other departments such as Build and Lighting to get the best results from your work.
Must Have
3+ years of high-end Animated feature film experience.
A strong artistic background in painting.
Thorough knowledge of advanced matte painting techniques including colour space, digital paint techniques and Photoshop file management.
A good understanding and application of basic perspective as a basis for a form building/correcting strategy in the creation of digital environments.
Technical proficiency in photography with an emphasis on composition, depth, lighting and colour.
Ability to combine 2D & 3D elements in Maya and projections in Nuke.
Ability to work with World Machine would be a benefit.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional aptitude for time management in relation to bringing multiple priorities and tasks to completion within a set deadline.

THE ROLE
Insomniac is looking for Artist Relations support. This position will report to the Artist Relations Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet artists/crew upon arrival of the stage
Radio artist compound staff in appropriate time to gather the artist from their dressing rooms
Be readily available and visible to tour manager on stage should he/she need anything
Communicate with hospitality if rider needs to be adjusted or brought to stage
Bring hospitality items back from your stage each night
Communicate with stage manager on what credentials should be allowed on stage at different times (this changes throughout the day)
Ensure photographers and videographers have proper satin credentials to shoot on stage
Communicate with artist relations manager if you have issue with personnel saying they should be on stage
Maintain positive and helpful attitude toward all artists, crew and their guests on the stage and in the backstage area
QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of experience in Artist Relations
1+ years of management experience is preferred, including managing, developing and leading teams as well as optimizing and reorganizing teams to most effectively meet business needs
Intermediate technical skills in Microsoft Office
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
May work in drastic temperature climates

Job Summary
The festival Technical Director consults with the ISF Production Manager, Scenic Designer, and each production team to facilitate the scenic needs for the 2025 season. The Technical Director attends design and production meetings as scheduled by the Production Manager beginning in February and concluding in July. They are responsible for the daily operation and schedule for the Scene Shop located in the Centennial East building. They supervise the daily activity of the Assistant Technical Director, Scene Shop Supervisor, and the seasonal staff of carpenters, welders, and other associated production personnel in the scene shop and at Ewing Theatre performance space.
Other responsibilities include:
• Produce scenic construction drawings to achieve the designs provided by the Festival Scenic Designer. The construction documents must adhere to structural and safety guidelines to assure the safe use of all scenic elements on stage.
• Serves as the safety officer for the ISF rehearsal and performance spaces.
• Purchases materials and goods to be used in the construction of all scenery.
• Maintains the budgets for scenery, paint, and associated materials as directed by the Production Manager.
• Approves time sheets for all hourly employees on the scenery and paint staff.
• Work with the Scenic Designer, Production Manager, and the seasonal Changeover Supervisor to develop a plan to shift the scenery from one production to another as required for repertory style scheduling.
• Be familiar with and manage the use of the ISF technical inventory pertaining to all scene shop storage, equipment, materials, supplies, tools, paint, and be capable of solving problems that arise from usage of inventory.
• Must hold a valid U.S. driver's license and be able to drive a 16-foot box truck for transportation of scenery, materials, and other items to and from the ISU campus to the Ewing Cultural Center.
• Facilitate communication with department heads in the Lighting, Prop, Sound, and Costume shops to achieve the scheduled performances efficiently and safely.
• Oversee the installation of the stock Courtyard stage at Ewing cultural center.
• Other duties as assigned.
Additional Information
The Illinois Shakespeare Festival is an organization within the Wonsook Kim College of Fine Arts and the School of Theatre and Dance at Illinois State University. The mission of the festival is to produce energetic new interpretations of theatrical works, engaging audience and artist in an impassioned exploration of the human condition, with the artistry and humanity of the Shakespearean canon as our constant touchstone. The festival typically produces three mainstage and one theatre for young audience's productions each summer. The company employs approximately 100 people each summer from mid-May to early August. The staff is a mixture of seasoned professionals, early career artists, and students in their first professional theatre experience. The overall goal is to bring quality professional theatre to Central Illinois.

About The Position
The Joffrey Academy of Dance Teaching Artist (TA) is an independent contractor who teaches exceptional arts education classes for the Joffrey Academy of Dance, Official School of The Joffrey Ballet. We are looking for TAs who are adaptable, demonstrate knowledge and preparedness, care about all students, create a joyful atmosphere, and are experts in their style(s) of dance.
TAs provide instruction in one or more of the many styles of dance taught at the Joffrey Academy including, but not limited to, ballet, pointe, modern, contemporary, character, hip hop, jazz, Pilates, and West African, as well as adaptive classes for neurodiverse students. TAs offer highly structured dance experiences, encouraging students to develop technique, creativity, artistry, confidence, discipline, and life skills. Programs run throughout the academic year from fall through spring, with separate programs offered in the summer months. Our student body includes individuals from early childhood to senior adults.
Teaching Artist Responsibilities Include:
Plan and provide class material relevant and appropriate for the age level and dance style.
Travel and arrive on time to the Joffrey Tower (10 E. Randolph, Chicago) or the Joffrey Academy South Loop (1920 S. Wabash, Chicago).
Follow Academy curriculum guidelines when provided.
Complete student evaluations.
Attend annual faculty orientation meetings.
Meet with families as requested.
Support students by creating a safe, student-centered environment.
Bring appropriate music to play music for class.
Choreograph dances for students to perform in Academy performances.
Maintain constant and clear communication with the Abbott Academy Director, Division Heads, and the Administrative team.

Qualifications:
Professional dance experience is required with a minimum of two years of teaching dance.
Clear background and reference checks are required.
Experience teaching and choreographing dances that engage and challenge students.

Ability to effectively teach and address learning needs across gender, age, race, ability, socio-economic and cultural diversity.
Ability to command a room and engage students while modeling ideal behavior.
Embody exemplary professional conduct and respect for school and community culture.
Demonstrated expertise in dance technique that adheres to the Joffrey Academy curriculum guidelines.
Ability to demonstrate full body dance movement for each class, which typically lasts between 45-90 minutes.

The festival Technical Director consults with the ISF Production Manager, Scenic Designer, and each production team to facilitate the scenic needs for the 2025 season. The Technical Director attends design and production meetings as scheduled by the Production Manager beginning in February and concluding in July. They are responsible for the daily operation and schedule for the Scene Shop located in the Centennial East building. They supervise the daily activity of the Assistant Technical Director, Scene Shop Supervisor, and the seasonal staff of carpenters, welders, and other associated production personnel in the scene shop and at Ewing Theatre performance space.
Other responsibilities include:
* Produce scenic construction drawings to achieve the designs provided by the Festival Scenic Designer. The construction documents must adhere to structural and safety guidelines to assure the safe use of all scenic elements on stage.
* Serves as the safety officer for the ISF rehearsal and performance spaces.
* Purchases materials and goods to be used in the construction of all scenery.
* Maintains the budgets for scenery, paint, and associated materials as directed by the Production Manager.
* Approves time sheets for all hourly employees on the scenery and paint staff.
* Work with the Scenic Designer, Production Manager, and the seasonal Changeover Supervisor to develop a plan to shift the scenery from one production to another as required for repertory style scheduling.
* Be familiar with and manage the use of the ISF technical inventory pertaining to all scene shop storage, equipment, materials, supplies, tools, paint, and be capable of solving problems that arise from usage of inventory.
* Must hold a valid U.S. driver's license and be able to drive a 16-foot box truck for transportation of scenery, materials, and other items to and from the ISU campus to the Ewing Cultural Center.
* Facilitate communication with department heads in the Lighting, Prop, Sound, and Costume shops to achieve the scheduled performances efficiently and safely.
* Oversee the installation of the stock Courtyard stage at Ewing cultural center.
* Other duties as assigned.
Additional Information
The Illinois Shakespeare Festival is an organization within the Wonsook Kim College of Fine Arts and the School of Theatre and Dance at Illinois State University. The mission of the festival is to produce energetic new interpretations of theatrical works, engaging audience and artist in an impassioned exploration of the human condition, with the artistry and humanity of the Shakespearean canon as our constant touchstone. The festival typically produces three mainstage and one theatre for young audience's productions each summer. The company employs approximately 100 people each summer from mid-May to early August. The staff is a mixture of seasoned professionals, early career artists, and students in their first professional theatre experience. The overall goal is to bring quality professional theatre to Central Illinois.
