Role description:
Arcadis is looking for a Senior Client Account Leader to join our Resilience Water Team in the San Francisco area.

This role will report directly to the California Area Leader and successful candidate will actively participate as a key member of the California Resilience - Water Leadership Team.
Role accountabilities:
Collaborate with our West Region Director, California leadership team, Growth Team, and Technical Experts to successfully win and execute projects and achieve our clients' objectives, while providing excellent client service.
Assist with strategic growth, planning and support of various key market initiatives throughout California.
Actively engage with and lead multiple California client account teams, expanding business development opportunities and client relationships to strategically grow Arcadis' California portfolio, leveraging existing and new client relationships with local municipalities.
Actively coordinate with other Arcadis business practices to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and grow our business.
Maintain an updated and accurate āpipelineā of opportunities.
Develop and lead Account Team(s); foster and mentor high-performing teams.
Demonstrate what it means to be the trusted advisor with clients - craft and deliver tailored solutions and lead teams in the preparation of winning proposals and successful presentations.
Negotiate critical issues with clients and potential teaming partners and subconsultants.
Travel will be required driving to clients and projects sites.
Serve as a senior technical resource or project manager on small to large sized, multi-disciplined, municipal water / wastewater / stormwater projects.
Support the development of junior and mid-level staff across California.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the water / wastewater municipal utility market.
Key Attributes:
Strong client relationship skills with a successful track record of positioning, pursuing and winning projects in the municipal water, wastewater, or stormwater sectors.
Excellent technical engineering skills with clear and concise written and oral communication skills.
Strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and strategic thinking.
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in water/wastewater facilities; planning, design and construction for public and private sector clients, with current experience in the Southern California municipal market.
Master's in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering or related professional degree such as Master of Business Administration or Master of Public Administration.
California P.E. License.

Role Accountabilities:
As a Coastal and Waterfront Climate Resilience Engineer, you will use your expertise in climate resilience and adaptation strategies to lead the design and implementation of waterfront and coastal resilience and climate adaptation projects for clients across the United States. Additional responsibilities include:
Mentoring and overseeing junior engineers and staff
Conducting climate change impact and risk assessments on water infrastructure assets and developing technical solutions to mitigate the risk and increase the resilience of such assets.
Designing coastal and waterfront flood protection and nature-based solutions.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on water resources and resiliency projects.
Preparing and reviewing technical reports, project proposals, and design documentation.
Evaluating and implementing sustainable stormwater management and flood control solutions.
Supporting business development activities, including supporting strategy, preparing proposals, and fostering positive relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.

Kleinfelder is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer/Project Manager reporting to any of our Southern California Area offices, either San Diego, Laguna Hills, Riverside or Downtown Los Angeles. Our team works on challenging and interesting projects within a design center that includes bridge, structural, civil, and water resources engineers, environmental professionals, and laboratory and construction oversight personnel. We work on a large variety of both public and private infrastructure systems ranging from small to large-scale bridges, transit systems, roadways, water and storm water systems, tunnels and HDD installations, commercial structures, deep excavations, and more, all while managing complexities of dense urban sites or difficult mountainous terrain.
The candidate should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering and about 10 or more years of experience in geotechnical engineering consulting with some project management experience. Master's Degree preferred.
A California P.E. license is required and a California G.E. license, or the ability to obtain one, is desired. We are looking for someone with the capability to provide leadership, management, and support for complex technical and field projects.
Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate with and lead multidiscipline teams to prepare proposals and execute projects
Safely manage and execute field exploration programs and construction oversight activities
Perform, delegate, and oversee a variety of geotechnical engineering analyses including: soil and rock classification, shallow and deep foundation design, immediate and consolidation settlement, slope stability, seismic hazard evaluation (including ground motions, liquefaction, and lateral spreading), and earth retention systems
Prepare Geotechnical Engineering reports, memorandums, proposals, specifications, and other related deliverables
Be actively involved during the construction phase of projects
Positively interact with client representatives
Development of scope of work, project budgets, work breakdown structures, and schedules
Manage staff and project teams, budgets, schedules, delegate project tasks and mentor junior staff
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in civil/geotechnical/geological engineering; Master's degree strongly preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license in California is required. GE license, or ability to obtain one is desired
Approximately 10 or more years of geotechnical engineering experience with some project management experience
Positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks

Assist with the Administration of the office space and facilities, helping to ensure adequate supplies, coordination of staff seating and relocations.
Serve as the first point of contact in responding to operations requests from staff.
Identify, organize and implement office and administrative projects independently in accordance with deadlines.
Coordinate new hire desk assignments and set up.
Coordinate multiple schedules, both individual and project specific
Maintain new vendor setup and building management onboarding.
Assists with communication, scheduling, coordination and follow up of contracted services.
Processes approved invoices, addresses billing inquiries and partners with AP to resolve payment/coding issues.
Contract document filing and organization on shared drive.
Provides support during staff moves and updates seating maps.
Liaises with HR and OT to support new hire orientation and security badge process.
Assists with office management in purchasing office furniture, fixtures and equipment.
Assists with storage inventory management and logistics.
Dedicate the necessary time beyond routine hours (as required, including last minute needs) to assist in meeting business commitments.
Participate in reception duties as needed.
Ensures office space meets SOM standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
College degree preferred or equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
Experience in architecture is preferred.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to interact with all levels of staff and Partnership.

Arcadis is seeking an Architectural Designer to join our Workplace Practice Group in the San Francisco Bay Area. The successful candidate will have project delivery experience in corporate workplace interiors and will support projects in San Francisco and San Jose, among others. We are looking for a creative, organized, and self-motivated individual who is a self-starter and can work both independently and as part of a team. The candidate should possess strong oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent presentation and documentation abilities.
Role Accountabilities:
Contributes to the development of light industrial distribution buildings architectural designs by preparing models and working drawings following company standards using Revit and AutoCAD
Coordinates architectural design with civil, structural, MEP, fire protection, and physical security disciplines
Prepares design development presentations and construction working drawing packages
Prepares submission packages under the direction of the architect or job captain/project leader, to meet project timelines
Produces drawings and details in compliance with codes and standards
Assist with contract administration tasks such as shop drawing reviews and response to RFIs
Manages workload and budget required for the completion of assigned tasks
Liaises closely with Architect, Job Captain and other designers
Work on multiple projects at the same time
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
3-5 years of experience, with a background in workplace design
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Proficiency in REVIT is required
Great detailing knowledge and skills
Registration with NCARB and AIA membership is an asset
LEED and/or WELL accreditation preferred
Must be geographically located in the San Francisco Bay Area for travel to active project sites
