Role accountabilities:
As a NEPA Senior Planner, you will:
Lead and assist in the development of NEPA documents for a variety of projects and clients
Manage diverse project teams and coordinate with clients to manage and execute successful project outcomes
It is expected that you have demonstrated expertise with NEPA across multiple agencies, as well as experience with state and federal laws and regulations, including the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act, and the National Historic Preservation Act, among others
You should have a strong understanding of current and emerging NEPA law and regulations and be able to advise clients and mentor internal staff on NEPA applicability, best practices, and analysis methodology
Additionally, you will provide senior level quality assurance/quality control for client deliverables. You will support and lead NEPA planning for projects, internal and external coordination, risk management, and overall delivery to complete the NEPA process in conjunction with agencies and commercial clients.
In this role, you will also be involved in supporting the growth of new and existing client relationships in conjunction with business development leaders and account leaders. You will support client account teams and leading pursuits and proposal opportunities, including scope and cost development.

Required qualifications for the role include:
Bachelor's degree in planning, policy, environmental science, biology, ecology, or similar environmental discipline
10+ years of relevant experience including significant experience performing NEPA analyses and managing NEPA projects
Significant experience leading the preparation of NEPA documents, permit applications, and similar
Experience leading teams and working in collaboration with environmental scientists, engineers, archaeologists, and other specialists in developing environmental documents for environmental projects
Experience working with a variety of agencies on NEPA implementation which may include funding agencies, Department of Defense agencies, and land management agencies. Strong written and verbal skills, the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Management, Natural Sciences or related field
Experience leading proposal development including the preparation of scope of work and project budgets
Developing and maintaining client relationships, and leading proposal development including the preparation of scope of work and project budgets
Experience with the Department of Energy NEPA process

Role description:

The IMS Rail and Transit Global Market Sector Lead is primarily a Growth role but the person will have also hatted responsibilities in the delivery of projects. The expected split of the role is 60% Growth and 40% project delivery.

Market Sector Lead (Primary Role)

* Principal-in-Charge of key programs
* Project management and coordination
* Strategic direction on large projects
* Resolution of project issues that may arise
The Market Sector Lead will be accountable for:
* Net Order Intake with Rail and Transit clients.
* Win rates on major bids

Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role, you will need to be degree-qualified in a relevant discipline, with a proven track record of profitably growing market presence and client accounts within a consulting, engineering, or professional services organization. You will need to show technical knowledge in technology as applied to the rail/transit sector and be able to articulate how technology investments lead to improved mobility services. You will need an ambitious mindset, an entrepreneurial attitude, strategic focus and a strong business acumen. DESCRIPTION
Michael Baker International's Colorado Bridge team is currently seeking a certified Bridge Inspection Team Leader, in accordance with the National Bridge Inspection Standards, to join our Team in Colorado. The Team Leader is responsible for mobilization, site safety, and supervision, and the preparation of inspection reports.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as Team Leader for bridge inspections.
Identify, document, and photograph bridge component defects in the field.
Be knowledgeable in NDE coding, SI&A coding, and repair item identification/priorities.
Be responsible for general inspection crew, subcontractors (traffic control, police, etc.) and site safety/management.
Generate bridge inspection reports using owner bridge management software, MicroStation, AutoCAD, and/or Microsoft Office.
Assist with coordination, planning/scheduling, and mobilization for field personnel, equipment, lane closures, etc.
Meet with clients to discuss priority items and ensure timely submission of reports, schedules, etc.
Assist with Project Management tasks and provide technical leadership.
Lead all aspects of inspection assistants and coordinate traffic control sub-contractors.
Use necessary tools and equipment for bridge evaluations.

The primary role of this position is to provide leadership and technical expertise for various aspects of air quality compliance programs with an emphasis environmental database development and administration (e.g. ACTS). This may include preparation of greenhouse gas reporting, emission inventories, permit application preparation, regulatory review, recordkeeping, and reporting and program development. Collaborate and manage with structural, environmental, civil design, survey, traffic professionals, and other designers to complete project deliverables
Oversee pursuits, designate the appropriate resources to projects, define client needs, address client concerns, and manage engineering resources within budget
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Project experience in leading multi-disciplinary design, and construction monitoring/instrumentation projects
Experience with detailed geotechnical design for private and public clients.
Ability to assess and resolve issues and conflicts internally and externally.
Follow internal and project specific quality control and risk management protocols
Work well managing virtual teams and willingly works with the appropriate resources regardless of location
Work with national in-house group of civil, structural, and geotechnical engineers to support the growth in cutting edge innovation, learning, work sharing and resourcing
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
10+ years' experience in the design and preparation of engineering recommendations
3+ years' experience in project management of Geotechnical Engineering projects.
A passion to meet client objectives and goals, technical challenges, and mentoring other design professionals
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Colorado
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment

DESCRIPTION
Michael Baker International is seeking a Fire Protection Associate to join our team. Under direct supervision, the Fire Protection Associate will assist the senior fire protection personnel with the planning, design and analysis of fire protection systems and perform life safety analysis for new and existing buildings. Types of systems include: fire sprinklers, fire pumps, high expansion foam, fire alarm and mass notification systems. Typical buildings and facilities include: office buildings, storage and warehouses, aircraft hangars, and maintenance facilities.
Complete fire protection system designs, including sprinkler, fire pump, fire alarm, and mass notification systems
Perform hydraulic calculations for sprinkler and fire pump design
Analyze life safety requirements for buildings, including building code compliance, occupant load calculations and egress analysis
Perform on-site system evaluations and assist with final system testing
Summarize submittals and contractor Requests For Information for review
Coordinate designs with other engineering disciplines
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Fire Protection Engineering; Master's Degree desirable
0-2 years of professional experience
EIT, or ability to obtain within 1 year; P.E. certification desirable
Knowledge of fire protection systems, including: fire sprinkler systems, fire pumps, clean agent systems, high expansion foam systems, fire alarm and mass notification systems
Knowledge and/or experience of building and design codes, specifically IBC, NFPA 101, NFPA 13 and NFPA 72
AutoCAD and/or Revit experience preferred
Experience in the design of fire protection systems preferred
COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $59,000 to $94,000. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
