Key Purpose

I. Job Summary
In tandem with a seasoned WM Driver and/or WM Driver Trainer, after receiving their Commercial Driving Permit, the Driver Apprentice will complete the required training to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle providing service to customers in their respective Line of Business (LOB). The Driver Apprentice will continue in this role until they complete all training requirements.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. While in training, the following skills will be taught and the trainee must be able to demonstrate proficiency prior to moving to the next driver level:
After obtaining their Commercial Driving Permit, partners with a WM Driver and/or WM Driver Trainer to train on the proper way to operate a commercial refuse / recycling vehicle:
Operates vehicle in accordance with Waste Management Safety and Life Critical Rules, OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements as well as all local, state and federal laws.
Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and documents checks utilizing the standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report).
Immediately reports all unsafe situations or service related issues to Route Manager or Dispatch.
Attends and participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required by Waste Management or directed by the Route Manager.
Works closely with Route Manager to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.
Notifies Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injures, or property damage.
Notifies Route Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions including closed or impassable streets or alleyways, receptacles too heavy to service or potential safety hazards.
Communicates customer requests to Dispatch or Route Manager.
Completely dumps all receptacles and leaves the customer's location clean and free of debris.
Follows route assignments as directed and completes end of day documentation and check out process.
Performs all duties as scheduled by Route Manager or Dispatch and assisting other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.
Performs as an on route Helper while obtaining their Commercial Driving Permit and completing the training to be a WM Driver:

ABOUT THE JOB
The Tepa Companies are seeking a Welding Apprentice who will Perform welding tasks under supervision on piping and plate within petroleum operations facilities. In addition to welding, the successful candidate must be able to assist in tasks related to welding such as fit‐up, preparation, repair, inspection, and post weld preparation. As required, the Apprentice Welder will also be tasked to assist with general site work such as loading and unloading equipment and materials, site clean‐up and preparation, mobilization, and demobilization to and from the jobsite, scaffolding erection, general tank construction tasks and other duties as assigned.
This role is intended for recent certified/college graduates who completed their education in welding within the last year or about to complete their welding program. As Tepa continues to grow, we are focusing on hiring recent graduates to begin their careers at our organization with opportunities to receive hands-on learning, mentorship, and growth within the company. This is an entry-level position that does not require previous experience but does require completed education in the particular discipline.
Job Functions:

Reports to: Carpenter Foreman and Superintendent.
FLSA: Not Exempt
The Carpenter Apprentice is responsible for on-site execution of all assigned tasks. Through daily coordination with the Carpenter Foreman and/or Superintendent, the carpenter will track and complete tasks in order to facilitate the needs of the project team and schedule. They will assist the project team in the field to maintain layout control as well as JHL's safety and quality programs. The Carpenter Apprentice will be a key player in training and instructing JHL apprentice carpenters and laborers for efficient and quality work in addition to the development of skills. He/she will have direct authority over on-site JHL craft in the absence of a carpenter or foreman. The Carpenter Apprentice will coordinate with the Carpenter, Carpenter Foreman, and/or Superintendent on prioritization of craft task, and on all decisions related to or direction regarding subcontractors.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Core Duties / Responsibilities:
· Assisting in building layout
· Erecting temporary walkways, and ramps, and scaffolding
· Setting forms for concrete
· Layout and installation of embeds
· Layout and installation of reinforcing steel
· Place and finish concrete
· Hanging doors and installing hardware
· Trim and finish carpentry
· Installing wood and metal blocking
· Other duties as assigned.
Education / Experience/ Training:
· Preferred: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
· Must be enrolled in CITC (or equivalent) apprenticeship training or otherwise demonstrated substantial industry experience and proficiency.

· Maintain OSHA 10 (minimum) and recommended refresher training.
