Amentum is seeking a 1st shift Industrial Electrician IV for our facility operations & maintenance team in Decatur, IL. Typical work schedule is 1st Shift 6am-2:30pm with a work schedule of Tuesday- Sat; hours may vary based on business demand. Overtime required based on business demand This position is responsible for providing a level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, servicing, project estimation of materials and labor hours, as well as documenting the electrical modifications and changes. Will work with equipment and systems related to HVAC units, motors, lighting systems, control circuits, pumps, VFDs, PLCs and chillers Provides instruction, mentors and trains less skilled technicians as needed. The Industrial Electrician IV must have the ability to identify and correct any safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures. General Maintenance of equipment will also be required. Responsibilities: Diagnoses, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs electrical equipment and control circuits from 24v up to and including 480V AC, electro-mechanical test devices, instrumentation devices, PLCs / ladder logic controllers, and variable frequency drives as necessary Execution of projects through assigning work, executing work and testing finished project.
