Duties
During the course of their careers, Uniformed Division Officers carry out assignments in protection. Duties include:
Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.
Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.
Our Uniformed Division's mission is to protect facilities and venues secured for U.S. Secret Service protectees. Throughout its history, the Uniformed Division has accomplished this mission through individuals who embody honor, integrity and a commitment to excellence.
Today, the Uniformed Division has grown both in size and scope of responsibility and is mandated by law to provide physical security for the White House Complex and the vice president's residence at the Naval Observatory. It also provides security for the Treasury Department building and foreign diplomatic missions in Washington, D.C. The Uniformed Division also has specialized teams including Counter Sniper, Emergency Response, K-9, and more.
Requirements
U.S. citizenship is required.
Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
Be at least age 20 and less than age 37 at the time you receive a conditional offer of employment, unless you have previous service in a Federal Civilian Law Enforcement position covered by special law enforcement or firefighter retirement provisions, including early or mandatory retirement. Applicants with veteran's preference must receive a conditional offer of employment prior to reaching age 40 to continue in the application process.
Carry and use a firearm. Maintaining firearm proficiency is also mandatory.
Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular. Possess corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye.
Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 25 decibels (A.S.A. or equivalent I.S.O.) in either ear in the 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz ranges. Applicants must be able to hear the whispered voice at 15 feet with each ear without the use of a hearing aid.
Submit to a drug test prior to your appointment and random drug testing while you occupy the position.
Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA or Artesia, NM and 17 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD.

Locality pay varies by duty location. A fully trained CBP Officer is eligible for up to $45,000 in overtime pay in addition to the starting salary.
Grade level eligibility and salaries vary depending upon background, including experience and education, and duty location of the opportunity. This is a career ladder position with a grade level progression of GS-5, GS-7, GS-9, GS-11, and GS-12. You will be eligible for a promotion to the next higher grade level (without re-applying) once you successfully complete 52 weeks in each grade level. Promotions are at the discretion of the agency.
Officers are eligible to select from an array of federal employment benefits that include health, dental and other insurance plans, a generous annual and sick leave program, and participation in the Thrift Savings Plan, a retirement plan akin to a traditional and ROTH 401(k) offering.
LOCATION INCENTIVES: If you accept one of the duty locations listed below, you may be eligible to receive an additional 15%-25% of your salary each year for the first three (3) years of employment in addition to any overtime pay. If you accept the duty location of San Francisco, you may be eligible to receive an additional 25% of your salary each year for the first four (4) years of employment in addition to any overtime pay. Qualifications
You qualify for the GS-5 grade level if you possess one of the following:

The Finance and Administration Specialist leads the financial management function, ensuring $7M in grantmaking is properly accounted for each year in service of impact goals. The Specialist approves all grants and plays a key role in administering the grantmaking database.
Responsibilities
Financial Management
Manage all CHS Foundation and CHS Community Giving grant, sponsorship, and vendor payments, confirming appropriate approvals and separation of duties. Perform relevant set-up in SAP, process monthly chargebacks, and request journal entries as needed.
Develop and manage annual budget in partnership with Senior Director.
Perform cash flow projections to ensure CHS Foundation bank account maintains a sufficient balance.
Partner closely with CHS Inc. accounting liaison to ensure accuracy of financial transactions and statements.
Administration
Administer the grants management system (Blackbaud Grantmaking), in partnership with Grants Specialist. Key tasks include: managing the design, maintenance, enhancement, coding, and administration of the grantmaking database to ensure data is accurate and accessible. Manage grant application and requirement forms: designing, creating, maintaining, enhancing and updating as necessary.
Manage the grant approval process to include verifying applicant tax status, expenditure responsibility, processing approvals and approval letters, and processing payments in Blackbaud system.
Generate and process reports from the Blackbaud database to communicate grant information to stakeholders, including the CHS Board of Directors, CHS Foundation Board of Trustees, CHS employees, and all other internal/external stakeholders.
Assist in development of CHS Foundation and Community Giving goals aligned to Stewardship three-year strategic plan, in partnership with team. Evaluate grant outcomes data to determine progress towards goal and measure impact for annual reporting.
Lead annual CHS Foundation audit by external accounting firm, maintaining compliance with IRS policies and regulations. Liaise with firm for development of annual tax filing.
Programs

Qualifications Required
Education and Experience:

Responsibilities
Own software architecture and design execution, along with processes, tools, and metrics used for new product development and on-going sustaining programs.
Lead software strategic planning, concept generation, architecture definition, and translation to system/subsystem/module definitions of designs that are reliable, safe, and sustainable.
Provide technical leadership to software team members.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
8+ years of experience with software and embedded firmware development (C/C++).
Must have led significant or all portions of a product firmware development at least once, from inception through market launch.
3+ years of Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) experience.

Job Summary:
This position provides leadership, oversight, training, and supervision to assigned community-based residential programs. The Residential Program Director coordinates staff scheduling to ensure service delivery at multiple sites and assures continuous quality improvements in service development and compliance with DHS, 245D, and CARF licensing regulations. The Residential Program Director is responsible for executing the vision, policies and procedures, and budgetary considerations. This position directly supervises Residential Program Managers and reports to the Residential Program Administrator.
Job Duties and Responsibilities for Residential Program Director:
Assures the execution of admissions, and program planning processes
Assures the management and delivery of all contracted services and coordination
Assures compliance with all applicable State and Federal rules and regulations
Functions as the main point of contact for external team members
Contributes to the development of and assures the administration of all policy, procedure, and record keeping systems related to program development
Contributes to the recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of all employees within the program in coordination with the Human Resources Department to help ensure compliance with employment law and regulations
Coordinates scheduling for multiple residential sites and provides direct care services, as needed
Serves as emergency contact for residential sites and support teams, including on-call weekend rotation
Ensures the management and execution of program budgets
Coordinates with the Finance Department regarding accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and bookkeeping
Prioritizes positive support strategies and person-centered approaches in all areas of service delivery to ensure persons served are able to live the lives they want to live

possess an associate degree in a field related to human services, education, or health and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older, or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children;
possess a diploma in a field related to human services, education, or health from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children; or
possess a minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities; and

Supervise swimming areas and enforce safety rules.
Respond to emergencies and provide first aid.
