This question is about employer.
A process audit evaluates the manufacturing process of a company from beginning to end. An examination of each stage of the manufacturing process may reveal areas upon which improvements can be made.
Unlike a procedure audit which focuses on adherence to established company procedures in the production process, a process audit is concerned with results. Are the goals and desired results being met? This type of audit looks at the results of a company's process and breaks down where that process can be improved regardless of already established procedures.
If a company is not achieving the results that they desire, a process audit will examine all of the factors contributing to those results including, the competencies and capabilities of those involved in production. A process audit will examine how outputs are being measured and what actual results are being achieved. The result of a good process audit should expose deficiencies that exist anywhere along the production process and recommend better, more effective procedures.
