The pharmacy tech training program at CVS is 120 days long.

The LearnRx program is designed to support newly hired pharmacy colleagues with learning and development.

The program will teach customer service skills, the business of pharmacy, patient safety, and pharmacy workflow and inventory. LearnRx meets the requirements as an accredited pharmacy training program for licensure, and they will provide additional resources and support to help colleagues acquire their licenses.

Techs will have support from other colleagues in the store, the pharmacy manager, and high-performing pharmacy technicians who double as coaches. They will help guide technicians through the program and stay on track during this training journey.

CVS also encourages technicians to become nationally certified and offers additional classes and materials to help techs study for the national exam. Additionally, colleagues who stay with CVS will have the opportunity to become a coach, inventory specialists, lead technicians, or even field colleague trainers.
