Position: Anodizing Line Operator Location: New Albany Department: Anodizing Reports to: Process Team Lead Shift: Third Shift: 11 pm - 7 am Monday - Friday Internal Post Date: 3.24.25- 3.31.25 _____________________________________________________________________________ JOB SUMMARY The Anodizing Line Operator is responsible for the efficient operation of a single anodizing line. Monitors all steps in our proprietary anodizing process including the conveyor belt system, racks, chemicals/dyes, and resulting product consistency and quality. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS -

Exemplary attendance is required
Continuously monitor each step of the anodizing process for quality of parts.
Responsible for the start-up of the machine; adjust speed as necessary dependent upon the tolerance of the parts and the number of workers on the line.
Communicate with the other operators on the line as to operating conditions, dye mixture, special problems, etc., that occurred during the shift.
Responsible for monitoring tanks and assuring the line is operational prior to the start of the shift. Check with process manager daily as to extra duties for the next day's shift.
Obtain color boards and job cards as needed; obtain bath analysis from the lab and make any necessary adjustments.
Inform racking crew what part is to be run and make sure the proper racks are in place.
Remain on the catwalk throughout the shift to monitor the belt, racks, parts, baths, etc., and to add chemicals, dyes, and seal as needed.
Maintain a clean line, free of clutter. Store equipment properly.
Make necessary repairs on the belt.
Maintain, properly store, and wear appropriate safety equipment (including a respirator).
Properly complete required paperwork.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma
Ability to differentiate between colors
Some knowledge of the chemical process helpful
Good Maintenance skills
Manufacturing background a plus
Good mechanical skills helpful in troubleshooting and repairing machines
Experience working with chemicals and dyes
Experience with calipers and micrometers is a plus
Ability to work overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice

Selects holding rack according to size, shape and number of objects to be processed
Processes customer product in a defined series of cleaning, activating, plating and rinsing baths
Measures thickness and diameters for pre- and post- plate dimensions
Monitors tank temperatures, solution levels and rectifiers of plating bathes and records data
Dries and packs parts to prevent damage or as specified by part plan instructions
Operates computer terminal to view orders, start and complete individual work orders
Documents process and inspection data on part plan
Pre- and post- bake parts as required
Performs online inspections as required by work order to ensure conformance of product to customer specification
Strong attendance & Reliability
When a documented process does not produce parts as expected, stops production and informs Group or Line Leader

Responsibilities:
Check pieces to the quality standards and dump 4 lbs. basket
Adjust machines as required to keep parts in tolerance
Change tooling as needed
Tumble parts for eliminating burrs, and chips as needed
Manual dexterity for adjustments and loading of the machine.
Install tooling for setup and tooling is placed in the proper place per the setup sheets
Requirements:
Read and understand blueprints
Metal Cutting
Must be able to use and understand measuring devices and equipment such as, calipers, micrometers, pitch micrometers, hardness tests and thread gages
Must pass all ISO training within the first month
Lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
Ability to stand at least 6 hours a day
Willingness to work overtime
