Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility specializing in the care of Alzheimer's and dementia patients. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and play an essential role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide basic patient care, including assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
Monitor and report changes in patient health status to nursing staff promptly
Support patients with mobility needs, including lifting, transferring, and positioning
Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Assist with medical equipment (DME) setup and ensure proper use
Perform phlebotomy procedures as needed, following all safety protocols
Offer emotional support and ensure a compassionate, person-centered approach in the care of Alzheimer's and dementia patients
Participate in care planning and help implement care strategies that promote dignity, comfort, and quality of life for residents
Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Requirements:
CNA License in Pennsylvania.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Preferred).
