In this role, you will primarily be responsible for investigation, review, and completion of all Quality Engineering complaint issue analysis tasks utilizing various quality system inputs. Review individual complaints and associated service data to determine risk level and complete investigation into the as determined problem code and cause codes for each complaint. The hourly rate for this Medical Quality Support Analyst role is $22 - $28/hour. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Required Skills and abilities for the Medical Device Quality Complaints Analyst role include: Medical Device Experience with knowledge of 21CFR820 preferred. • Investigational research skills • Experience with any statistical software packages (Minitab a plus) • Desired experience in the medical device industry in the development and deployment of Quality Systems, and process controls, and continuous improvement methods. • Knowledge and working application of FDA cGMP; ANSI/ISO/ASQC requirements; CMDAS (optional). • Demonstrated strong analytical problem solving (Root Cause Investigations). • Computer competency in Word, Excel, Power Point, Minitab, Access and databases. The Infection Prevention Data Analyst will be the point of contact for the Electronic Hand Hygiene Monitoring System (EHHMS). Duties will include monitoring reports for daily hardware device failure and managing the badges for new employees and lost badges. Troubleshoots device errors that are affecting data capture of staff using the EHHMS. Creates reports for end users, and collaborates with the vendor to keep the system operating at optimal levels at all times. Makes decisions regarding the placement of devices in order to properly capture data related to hand hygiene throughout the hospital. Manages the disconnected device report (DDR), a daily report of devices that are unplugged or not working as described. Provides feedback of data results to quality officers, medical staff, nursing members, etc. in regard to hand hygiene. Incumbent will develop action plans for departments with low rates for hand hygiene. This includes coaching on hand hygiene, determining process improvements and reviewing Swipe Sense locations in department to determine if additional devices should be added. The Infection Prevention Data Analyst will follow up with low performing departments, discuss challenges they face and how to improve. Monitors low performing departments and reeducates as necessary. Minimum Qualifications: Associates and three years of healthcare related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience uploading and downloading reports, creating custom reports, submitting monthly summaries, and validating data required. Data management and excellent customer service skills required. Provide insights into trends, lessons learned, and areas for improvement to the Incident Response Team. * Review and assess AI-generated inputs and outputs to ensure alignment with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and security best practices. Identify potential risks, biases, or anomalies that could lead to security incidents or policy violations, and work with relevant teams to mitigate any identified concerns. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the IT security industry, including awareness of new or revised security solutions, improved security processes, and the development of new attacks or threat outbreaks. Distinguishing Features of the Class The incumbent is responsible for research and analysis of environmental concerns/ conditions of City-wide properties. S/he may also assist in developing response plans to a variety of environmental disasters. Additionally, the incumbent researches and identifies ways in which human behavior can be changed so as not to damage the environment. Incumbents assist in analyzing data for preparation of various research studies or reports. Work is performed under direct supervision; however, the Environmental Research Analyst exercises considerable latitude for independent analysis and decision in the presentation of material gathered. This position does not involve supervisory duties Examples of work (Illustration Only) Researches and analyzes environmental concerns/conditions of city-wide properties utilizing environmental easements/deed restrictions, federal and state environmental databases/web programs, governmental agency document records/archives, Sanborn Maps, etc. Reviews and analyzes environmental assessment forms and environmental impact statements, remediation programs, environmental site assessments, and proposed Federal, State or Local environmental regulations or programs; Reviews project applications, plans or proposals which may have environmental implications in the city and prepare analysis and reports on environmental conditions and/or remediation efforts; Assists the Buffalo Environmental Management Commission and other city departments/ boards and/or commissions as may be deemed necessary or appropriate regarding environmental conditions/concerns; Performs necessary inspections permitting review for environmental compliance or reported environmental concerns; Acts as liaison between the city, private agencies, and the general public regarding environmental concerns; Collects and disseminates environmental data; Prepares charts, tables, graphs and maps for statistical analysis; Prepares reports and studies pertaining to specific program activity and performance regarding environmental concerns; May operate computer terminal for entering of and obtaining necessary data; Performs related duties as required. Minimum Qualifications Open Competitive: Bachelor's Degree from a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education, in Environmental Science or Environmental and Urban Planning, plus one year of full-time qualifying experience* OR Associate's Degree from a college or university accredited by reginal, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education, in Environmental Technology or a closely related field, plus three years of full-time qualifying experience* OR An equivalent combination within the limits of A and B above. *Qualifying experience must be full-time experience in one of the following areas: 1) Environmental impact studies 2) Planning and evaluating research studies in an environmental setting 3) Research/surveying work in compiling, storing, or retrieving of information concerning environmental concerns; Additional Information FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS Thorough knowledge of general principles, purposes, and techniques in the field of environmental science and/or environmental and urban planning; Good knowledge of governmental environmental remediation programs, and federal, state and local agency responsibilities and governmental regulations; Ability to interact with government agencies and the public on environmental review and permitting procedures; Ability to analyze, interpret and evaluate environmental reports related to environmental impacts of remediation programs and projects undergoing SEQR or NEPA environmental review; Knowledge of relevant computer software; Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
