This position is responsible for maintaining the Aiken County cadastral geospatial data, using surveys and various other data sources to create, modify and delete parcel boundaries and descriptive attributes. Cadastral Database Management - This position is responsible for accurate analysis, processing and documentation of incoming deeds and plats, using them to update the County cadaster appropriately, quickly and accurately. 3. Technical/Management Support - This position assists County and public customers with using GIS technology and advises them on how to incorporate GIS analyses into their workflows and decision-making. In addition, the incumbent performs software installation, troubleshooting and other GIS Help Desk services for assigned departments.
4. Fieldwork - This position conducts occasional fieldwork projects to collect geospatial data, including project design, preparation, collection and post-collection processing.
5. Drone Services - This position may be asked to sit for and pass the FAA UAV Certification Exam to become a certified drone pilot in command. It also may participate in scheduling, planning and execution of drone missions in support of County business and to process the resulting imagery for clients using Esri Drone 2 Map and other software from time to time.

Civil Structural Analyst - Engineering (DS108) Candidates perform advanced Civil-Structural Analyst Functions (structural analyses) of various structures to validate their design adequacy for normal operation and accident loading conditions. Advanced structural analytical capabilities include the ability to perform the following:
Seismic Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI);
dynamic seismic analysis (response spectra and time-history);

Qualifications
Education:
MS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, or BS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and current registration as a Professional Engineer in either Civil or Structural Engineering.
Experience /Skills:
Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of eight (8) years' experience in the design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities.
Candidate must demonstrate a working knowledge of STAAD, ANSYS, ABAQUS, SASSI, DYNA3D or similar computer codes.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES - Civil Structural Analyst - Engineering (DS108)
Perform advanced structural analyses of various structures to validate their design adequacy for normal operation and accident loading conditions. Advanced structural analytical capabilities include the ability to perform the following: Seismic Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI); dynamic seismic analysis (response spectra and time-history); development of in-structure seismic response spectra, and to evaluate structural responses for tornado winds, missile penetration, precipitation (rain, flood, snow), and explosion (blast/detonation and deflagration).
Engineering services will be provided using SRR processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRR.

Experience /Skills: The candidate must demonstrate a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities. Candidate must demonstrate a working knowledge of AUTOPIPE, ANSYS, ABAQUS, PVElite, COMPRESS, or similar computer codes. Candidate must demonstrate a working knowledge of National Codes and Standards such as ASME VIII, API-579, ASME B31, NFPA-13, SMACNA, ASME AG-1, IBC, and AISC.
The candidate must have the ability to perform field walk-downs of mechanical systems.
Work Hours: A 40-hour workweek is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). Work week excludes SRR holidays. Each workday has a 30-minute lunch.
Area Security Access: A security clearance is not required.
EDUCATION: MS or PhD Degree in either Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Mechanics, or a BS Mechanical Engineering and current registration as a Professional Engineer.
