Coordinator Trauma Data Adult Trauma - (250003IG) Description A Brief OverviewThe responsibility of the Trauma Data Coordinator is to ensure the Trauma Registry contains detailed, reliable, and readily accessible information needed to support the operations, quality initiative and research of University Hospitals Medical Centers. Data collected describes the injury event, demographics, pre-hospital information, diagnosis, care, outcomes, and costs of treatment for injured patients. The data collected is a required component of Trauma Center verification by the American College of Surgeons and required by state law. Trauma registry data is submitted to the American College of Surgeons Trauma Quality Improvement Program (TQIP) as on ongoing requirement of Trauma Center Verification, as well as State and Regional TQIP collaboratives. Registry data may be used internally and externally for research, clinical performance improvement (PI), public health initiatives, injury prevention strategies, UHCMC initiatives, clinical outcomes measurement, and resource utilization. The Trauma Data Coordinator provides progressive leadership and effective management to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center Adult Trauma Center Trauma Registry. What You Will DoDevelops, manages and maintains registry data collection, validation, and reporting in conjunction with the Trauma Program Manager. This includes creation of reports and data for the Trauma Program Manager, Trauma Medical Director, Trauma PI Coordinator, internal health care professionals and external governmental agencies as required. In addition, creates reports that support internal and external hospital wide research projects and initiatives. Analyzes data and supports trauma performance improvement and research by identifying variations in patient care delivery and measuring clinical outcomes parameters and benchmarks such as response times, timeliness of care, length of stay, complications and cost for the trauma center. Ensures compliance with local, state and national agencies that regulate trauma care. Continuous development to comply with the laws and regulations for trauma data collection and reporting. Works in conjunction with the Institutional Review Board (IRB), trauma surgeons and other trauma practitioners to provide data for research publications, lectures, and presentations both internally and externally to the community and public. In conjunction with the trauma staff, designs and implements trauma center sponsored events created to educate internal staff and members of community outreach programs. This entails preparing lectures, tracking and supporting the budget, editing grant proposals, fundraising and coordinating the logistics of the events. Assists with the office coordination for the trauma center. Prepares monthly financial reports as requested. Orders and tracks supplies for the office and trauma center events. Manages accounts payable activities and provides clerical assistance to the PI coordinator and manager. Additional ResponsibilitiesPerforms other duties as assigned. SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the Director of Treasury Management, the position of Treasury Management Operations Analyst is responsible for a variety of regular and recurring moderately to highly complex operational and accounting functions to support treasury management operations. We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team. In this role, you will analyze financial data, prepare reports, and help guide decision-making to support the company's financial goals. This role will serve as a key business partner to commercial leadership, providing financial insights and strategic support to drive decision-making and business growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, financial modeling experience, and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly. Key Responsibilities: * Financial Analysis & Reporting: Analyze financial statements, budgets, and variances to provide insights on financial performance and utilize the analytics to aid in decision-making * Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets; monitor expenditures and performance against financial plans * Profitability Enhancement: Analyze product, customer, and business team profitability to uncover insights and drive initiatives that improve margin and operating leverage * Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to project future financial performance and assess the impact of potential business decisions * Data Analysis & Interpretation: Collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities * Strategic Planning: Support strategic planning initiatives by providing financial analysis and scenario planning * Cost Analysis: Monitor and evaluate cost structures to identify efficiency improvements and cost-saving opportunities, including economic cost benefit analysis * ROI Analysis: Conduct ROI analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of key commercial and strategic initiatives * Ad-Hoc Reporting: Prepare ad-hoc reports and financial analysis for management as needed Qualifications: * Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. * Experience: 2-5 years of experience in FP&A, accounting, or a similar role. * Skills: * Proficient in Excel, financial modeling and data analysis * Excellent communication and presentation skills * Knowledge of financial statements, GAAP, and accounting principals * Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to work independently and collaboratively * Self-starter * Preferred Qualifications: * MBA, CFA or CPA certification a plus * Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau) Familiarity with financial planning software (e.g. Planful)
