Role description: Arcadis is actively seeking an experienced Senior Biosolids Expert to join our Resilience Water team in the United States. This position can be performed remotely anywhere in the United States or at any Arcadis office location in the country. As a Senior Biosolids Expert, you will have a key role in developing and implementing strategies that drive business development and enhance delivery capabilities on biosolids projects nationwide. Your leadership will be essential in guiding a team to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions for biosolids management to our clients across the Resilience Water Global Business Area. You will also play a key role in fostering client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving biosolids practices to enhance the resilience of utilities across the country. Role accountabilities: As a Senior Biosolids Expert, you will be the go-to expert on biosolids trends, benchmarks, and legislative or regulatory matters. Your role will focus on market growth, talent development, and delivering high-quality solutions that distinguish our technical expertise from competitors. Your key responsibilities include: Developing and implementing a comprehensive national strategy for biosolids with specific goals, objectives, and key performance indicators. Seeking and cultivating new business opportunities in the biosolids sector by establishing relationships with potential clients and partners. Provide technical support to marketing and client management teams for business development and opportunity capture planning. Providing technical leadership and support to project teams, ensuring adherence to best practices, biosolids industry advancements, and the Arcadis Quality program. Leading the delivery of biosolids projects through planning, design, construction and commissioning, ensuring they are on schedule, within budget, and uphold the highest quality standards. Mentoring and guiding a team of biosolids professionals, fostering growth, support, and development opportunities. Collaborate with regional leaders to support hiring needs. Representing the organization through committee membership or leadership roles, at industry events or conferences, and in publications by sharing insights and contributing to the progression of biosolids practices. Staying informed about federal, state, and local regulations related to biosolids, ensuring projects meet compliance requirements. Travel (up to 25%) is anticipated regionally and nationally. Travel will be conducted for client and project meetings, engagement with staff, general planning purposes, and attendance at conferences and other industry events. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. 10 years of experience in the wastewater industry, with extensive knowledge of biosolids treatment technologies, disposal methods, and regulations and proficiency in data analysis and optimization. Preferred Qualifications: Professional Engineer (P.E.) License Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. 15 years of experience in the wastewater industry, with extensive knowledge of biosolids treatment technologies, disposal methods, and regulations and proficiency in data analysis and optimization. Established as a thought leader in the biosolids space, with experience in large wastewater associations, utilities, or related organizations. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Role description: Arcadis is seeking a Project Manager (Municipal Water/ Wastewater) to join our Resilience Water Business Area in the Akron, OH office. This is a hybrid role, with an expectation of minimum 3 days per week physically in the Arcadis Akron Office. The Project Manager will collaborate with our local Water Team to manage projects, with client interaction and project team coordination. The majority of the work will be in Ohio. This Project Manager will be responsible for implementing successful project/program execution strategies with the project team, as well as maintaining strong client relations. Role accountabilities: The position requires general consulting and process mechanical/ water market understanding. Additionally, experience focused on building project team relationships and continuity, developing client relationships and trust, and delivering detailed design solutions within established budgets and schedules is a plus. The successful candidate shall demonstrate past success as an active project team member and/or project manager with the ability to lead project staff and accomplish the following: Responsible for implementation and management of project execution in collaboration with our account leaders and local technical teams. Continual refinement of project execution strategies based on program successes and challenges encountered. Contribute to innovative approaches and lead development of value propositions to accelerate growth of our water/wastewater offering and look at continuous process improvements to enhance Arcadis' offerings to the market and to further meet the needs of our clients and the future challenges that they experience. Responsible for preparation of project scope of services, work plans, project budgets and schedules and delegation of work tasks. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and project teams. Past experience in utilizing digital tools and data analysis to drive prioritization and decision making. Demonstrated ability to provide technical mentoring to technical staff as they support project execution activities. Passion for serving and growing professionally. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or environmental engineering Professional Engineering license in Ohio, with ability to be licensed in other states 10+ years of experience in engineering/ detailed design project delivery Prior experience in Consulting Engineering Key Skills and Attributes Self-motivated and flexible with the ability and desire to work on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously with strong organizational, digital analytical and problem-solving skills. In this position you will utilize your professional experience and technical knowledge of wastewater collection, stormwater, water distribution systems modeling, design and construction, to assist the project teams they support in executing projects and developing project pursuits within the local and regional municipal market of this office, to help build and grow our practice.
