JOB SUMMARY: Stearns Bank is seeking an experienced leader to serve as Manager of the Deposit Production Offices (DPO). This role is critical in leading the DPO teams to generate new and deepen existing customer relationships within our DPOs. The DPO Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of deposit operations, teller operations, deposit product sales and customer service for all Deposit Production Offices. This position is also responsible for directly managing and deepening relationships for our top tier clients and prospects in those areas. As such, this role requires critical thinking, strong interpersonal skills and financial acumen, and outstanding ability to build positive relationships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Hire, manage and lead talent to build an effective sales and relationship management team focused on ‘business unusual' customer experience and culture.
Define and implement goals for the DPO team.
Provide clear expectations of job duties and responsibilities.
Provide sufficient training and ensure individuals have resources and tools to successfully perform their jobs.
Ensure accountability and tracking of team members to meet their individual goals and expectations.

Work with internal departments to create fliers, social media content, and demos that can be shared with current and prospective customers.
Ensure team is sufficiently trained and follows all policies and procedures.
Lead the monitoring of customer activity for fraudulent intent and review of customer-overdrawn accounts and suspicious transactions and take appropriate action.
Supervise internal control functions such as dual control, audits and compliance to bank and federal regulations.
Monitor ATM operations to ensure that it is serviced and balanced according to specifications.
Conduct routine team meetings to promote bank unity and collaboration.
Provide backup to DPO staff and serve as a resource for deposit related activities.
Complete required training.

Position Overview:

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The role of the Underwriter II is to evaluate the credit risk against company standards and to determine the borrower's ability to repay a residential mortgage. The Underwriter II analyzes and interprets more complex financial and non-financial data decisioning the requests with the goal of achieving the optimal quality asset for the bank while satisfying the needs of borrower. The Underwriter II is also responsible for LLCs along with other complex borrower types. The Underwriter works within established lending authorities and guidelines, with complex or unusual situations escalated to the next highest authority level for resolution.

* Reviews the loan package received to ensure completeness verifying that all supporting documents are included to make a credit decision per established policies
* Identifies issues and recommends appropriate resolution within policy service level agreements
* Analyzes and determines the financial capacity of the borrower's ability to repay:

JOB SUMMARY
The Universal Banker is a key player in driving branch growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences. POSITION OVERVIEW
Establishes and builds relationships with Ag and Business customers, providing advice and financial expertise in support of the American Federal Sales Process.
Seek out ways to help customers find solutions to achieve their goals while ensuring loan quality, deposit growth, investment sales growth, and sales of a full array of insurance products.
Plans and implements an aggressive business calling program to develop new customers while continuing to penetrate existing customers with additional products and services that will assist them in achieving their financial goals.
Responsible for underwriting Agricultural and Business Loans, and administering them according to established bank policies and procedures.
Extends credit within established lending authorities and makes recommendations for approval on other loans as if the banker did have the authority to approve them.
Sells all credit, deposit and convenience products and services and refers customers and prospects to licensed representatives to fulfill investment or life insurance needs.
Continually uses the American Federal Sales Process.
Follows established bank policies and procedures and complies with applicable federal and state governmental regulatory laws and regulations.
Affirmatively seeks to the continuously increase own knowledge of financial services, operational systems/processes, industry trends.
QUALIFICATIONS
Undergraduate degree or its equivalent in business, finance, economics, agriculture, or a related field.
Relevant job-related experience in lending and collections of consumer, agricultural, business, and mortgage credits.
Sales experience in Financial Services with a proven performance record.
Highly motivated and able to perform without direct supervision.
Excellent customer relations, interpersonal, communication, organizational, delegation, and team player skills.
Ability and desire to obtain knowledge of the full array of financial services, operational systems/processes, industry trends, etc. necessary to deliver American Federal Sales Process.
MS Excel and Word proficiency.
