Let the Light in
In close proximity to Denver and Boulder, the Alteryx office is truly representative of the community that it's situated in, and that was done on purpose. "The mural of the mountains in our community room, the gondola from Keystone and the graffiti from local artists are all reflections of that," said Amy Holland, VP of Platform Operations.
The natural light throughout the office was also a really important feature. The majority of the offices and conference rooms revolve around the windows so employees can see outside throughout the workday. Another key feature at the office is the standing/sitting desks that cater to your needs.
Going back to the mural, it was actually created by one of the Alteryx team members. "It's gorgeous by itself, but what makes it special is that it's made of up song lyrics and favorite quotes from our associates around the globe," Holland said.

Bring the Kids Along
The company truly believes in creating a family environment, but even further than that is that your actual family is welcome at all times. Family is extremely important to Alteryx. Of recent, the company adopted a parental leave program that allows for 6 weeks of paid leave. Another 6 weeks is added for the birth mother for purposes of pregnancy disability and childbirth.
Additionally, your children are welcome into the office several times throughout the year. The company hosts a Bring Your Kids to Work Day every April. The company's departments are showcased for the kids with expo-like booths to present fun, interactive activities.
Another family event takes place in the summer. One year, the company booked a spot at the Boulder Reservoir. They had plenty of fun activities for the kids to participate in. Another year, the company rented out a theme park in Denver. Then around the holidays, Mr. and Mrs. Clause visit the company during the holiday party that's complete with Christmas movies and decorating holiday cookies.
