The Workday Senior Consultant is primarily responsible for ensuring timely and quality execution of client deliverables and consulting with clients on Workday projects. Possesses a broad understanding of cross-functional touchpoints and their impacts within the Workday system to effectively develop solutions to complex problems/projects across multiple domains or clients. Consults without supervision on complex projects, and/or lead Medium Enterprise or Large Enterprise projects depending on domain area(s) specialty. When requested can participate in client sales meetings as Subject Matter Expert.
The role
• Independently consults with external clients and participates in all stages of the Workday project lifecycle, from planning and design phases through testing and deployment for Workday HCM and/or Financials application by developing solutions to complex problems/projects across multiple domains or clients.
• Effectively leads small to large client deliverables from start to finish across multiple, concurrent projects utilizing Alight's quality standards and consulting methodology.
• Integrates with other areas across Alight and functions to provide a complete solution.
• Consults on impact of decisions to operating post-implementation and downstream systems.
• Manages self and team member(s) work to project scope, timeline, risk and budget. Coordinates with others when applicable.
• Listens to client request, assesses actual client need, provides subjective matter expertise, proposes alternatives, and recommends solution(s). Depending on scope of project, may coach team members to execute same.

Proven experience in core HCM/Security working creatively and analytically in a dynamic environment
Ability to be effectively and actively engaged on multiple, parallel projects

**Responsibilities**
**What you will get to do:**
+ **Customer Engagement** : Act as product owner, understanding high-level requirements for the overall solution ecosystem. Address issues, assist with deployments, and manage customer Beta installations and testing.
+ **Project Management** : Collaborate with team leads to plan and execute projects, ensuring teams have appropriate product and technical specifications, project plans, direction, and resources. Establish realistic timelines and ensure they are met.
+ **Project Monitoring** : Track and report the status of all projects across various teams. Assign work to appropriate teams while ensuring project scope is adequately defined.
+ **Quality Assurance** : Provide guidance to the QA team for implementing quality improvement processes, ensuring comprehensive scenario coverage and high-quality product delivery.
+ **Technical Expertise** : Understand the domain, existing software system applications, and architecture to improve system functionality and performance.
+ **Technical Leadership** : Lead technical discussions with customers and other R&D teams within and outside the organization.
+ **Financial Management** : Assist with estimating, submitting, approving, and tracking purchases and expenses.
+ **Product Roadmap** : Contribute to the product roadmap to align with company strategy, meet future customer needs, and define solutions for business growth challenges and opportunities.
+ **Mentorship** : Mentor staff to resolve technical and human issues, track and approve vacation and personal days, monitor individual performance, and take corrective actions as needed.
+ **Team Leadership** : Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to achieve their optimum performance levels and career development.
**Qualifications**
**What you will bring:**
+ **Education** : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's Degree in Computer Science, Business, Strategy, or related fields is preferred.
+ **Experience** : Minimum of 3 years of management/leadership experience in a software development organization. At least 8 years of proven experience working through the design, development, and release-cycle delivering products to market; Enterprise application development experience preferred.
+ **Industry Knowledge** : Experience with Electronics Manufacturing Industry/MES systems is a strong plus. Strong understanding of the Product Development life-cycle.
+ **Development Methodologies** : Experience with Agile Scrum development.
+ **Technical Skills** : Experience with software development using C/C++, NodeJS, Microsoft technologies, and/or web technologies. Strong Object-Oriented Programming and Development skills.
+ **Project Management** : Strong leadership, project management skills, time management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage, evaluate, and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
+ **Communication** : Strong communication skills in engaging global cross-functional technical teams, as well as building and developing offshore and onsite development teams. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
+ **Technical Involvement** : Ability and willingness to dive into software and technical issues during design and development stages, as well as during troubleshooting of customer issues.
+ **Entrepreneurial Spirit** : An entrepreneurial spirit with strong product and program management skills.
+ **Additional Requirements** : Solid understanding of development, testing, and integration methodologies. Knowledge of current and emerging IT products, services, and processes. Broad understanding of programming logic concepts and application analysis and design techniques. Ability to communicate orally and in writing with both technical and non-technical staff. Ability to adapt to changing technology and priorities. Strong analytical thinking skills. Good planning, organizing, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
