Has the ability to organize, plan and supervise care of a group of residents assuring quality is provided at all time for this group as well as others in the facility. 2. Maintains effective interpersonal relationships. 3. Is of good emotional, mental and physical health having sound judgment and high standards. 4. Your Impact as a Certified Medication Aide In this role, you will: Administer Medications: Properly administer prescribed PO, topical (unbroken skin), and rectal medications according to physician’s orders and company policies. Monitor and Report: Observe for adverse effects of administered medications and report them immediately to the Charge Nurse. Document Administration: Record all medication administration according to company policies. Ensure Safety and Security: Maintain the security of the medication cart and ensure a safe, hazard-free environment. Maintain Confidentiality: Protect the privacy and confidentiality of resident information. Follow Infection Control Policies: Adhere to infection control protocols during medication administration. Monitor Resident Status: Notify the Charge Nurse of complaints, reactions, or any changes in resident status. Report Errors: Report any medication errors immediately to the Charge Nurse. Demonstrates competence in medication administration and technical procedures. Possesses strong communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience.
