The Preschool Aide supports the classroom teacher in establishing and enforcing rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students for whom they are responsible. The Preschool Aide works in conjunction with the classroom teacher to observe and evaluate students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health. This position will model Christian beliefs, thoughts, and actions (on and off the job) to the students as they teach. The Preschool Aide shall prayerfully help students learn attributes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God. Support the planning, supervision, and implementation of an age-appropriate curriculum that agrees with the school philosophy and includes the total development of the child in a loving Christian atmosphere.
Be flexible working with staff to maintain licensing mandated child to teach ratios at all times.
Keep the classroom, playground, resources, equipment, and physical environment clean and safe.
Assist the teacher in observing and evaluating student behavior, performance, social development, and physical health.
Work with teachers to prepare materials and classrooms for daily activities.
Collaborate with staff to plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.
Must be capable of working independently.

Be available via radio at all times to perform the above tasks as needed;
Report observations to administration and/or CPS when appropriate;
Work closely and cooperatively with teachers in the program, the coordinator, and all RCMS/PVHS administration, to structure the best learning environment for all students;
Assist with supervision of students during nutrition times;
Assist teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, and other staff in the classrooms during programming with access to a radio at all times;
Assist with the development and updates of any necessary communication between the team and the coordinator(s), students, parents

Speech Therapy Aide Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED, and a minimum age of 18 (as required by the State of Nevada).
Must be able to proficiently read, write, hear, understand, and speak English

Knowledge of behavioral strategies, intervention approaches, and basic data collection skills.
