Key Responsibilities:
Assist during surgical procedures, including All-on-X cases and IV sedation.
Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment, including sterilization of instruments.
Ensure patients are comfortable and informed before, during, and after procedures.
Take and process X-rays, including CBCT scans.
Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficiency and quality care.
Train and mentor junior assistants to maintain a high standard of clinical support.
Qualifications:
Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in Texas (required).
Experience assisting with IV sedation and All-on-X (AOX) procedures (required).
Current X-ray certification.
Knowledge of dental and surgical terminology.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a sterile environment.
Excellent communication and patient care skills.
Proficiency in using dental software (experience with Open Dental preferred).
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
ACLS or BLS certification.
Additional training in advanced dental procedures or implant dentistry.

Job Tasks:
Assists with the implementation of patient treatment programs in the Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech/Education Departments according to legal guidelines and under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist. Transfer techniques include standing, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling. Patients requiring moderate to maximum assistance and weighing over 200 pounds are lifted and/or transferred by two persons.
Performs documentation such as daily progress notes, treatment modules, and behavior modification documentation. Performs organizational/administrative projects such as filing and light typing. Sets up and dismantles patient charts in a timely manner.
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
· Knowledge of Medical Terminology
· Excellent computer skills
· Must be a cleared driver
Experience and Education:
· High School graduation or GED required. Some college preferred.
· Licensing as Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred but not required.
· 1 year's experience as Neuro Rehabilitation Specialist, or experience in rehabilitation or related field is preferred.
