In this role, you will be responsible for promoting the dignity, independence, self-determination, privacy, choice, and rights of the residents at the community. This role involves assisting residents with activities of daily living, medication reminders, and social and spiritual pursuits. This position will render personal care to residents and monitor their physical and cognitive wellbeing. Essential Functions, Key Duties, & Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living including but not limited to; bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and medication reminders in accordance with care plans and established community policies and procedures. Assist residents with lifting, turning, transferring, positioning, and transporting into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc. Assist with dining room services at assigned mealtimes, including set-up, clean-up, meal tray delivery, feeding assistance, and documentation of meal intake. Monitor the residents' physical and cognitive wellbeing and report changes to the nurse and supervisor. Deliver nutritional supplements to residents at assigned times and provide resident assistance as needed to ensure intake. Document intake per community policy/procedure. Participate in life enrichment programming and providing meaningful activities to residents. Document resident care timely and accurately. Perform other duties as assigned. Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates. What you'll do: Program Participant Experience You will serve as a role model in supporting inclusion and high-quality camp programming, creating an outstanding participant experience for children, parents and families. You will modify learning or recreational activities as may be needed, including activities, rules, equipment, and/or supplies as needed. Participant Safety You will ensure the physical and emotional health and safety of participants by being safety conscious, following all established YMCA standards and critically evaluating situations for potential risks. You will be alert and responsive to any specific health and safety needs of the individual with a disability You will ensure compliance with established rules and regulations to ensure safety. Monitors participants and team members provides coaching and intervention as necessary You will set up facilities and/or equipment for activities and stores equipment appropriately after use.
