We are seeking teacher assistants, wanting to start in the next four weeks, to join us supporting students with disabilities who are between the ages of 18 and 22, and who are not yet ready for graduation.
In this role you will be offering functional and vocational curriculum support with instructional focus on the acquisition of skills necessary for independence within the community.
This role comes with a competitive hourly rate between $18 - $22 per hour, paid weekly. With this role there is no requirement to work weekends and will be on a Monday to Friday schedule within hours of 7:30 - 3:00/4:30 pm on a full time basis. This position is for the 2024-2025 school year.
Responsibilities:
Assisting licensed staff in the classroom
Aid students in meeting their individualized education plan (IEP)
Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
Work with individuals and/or small groups when activities and assignments are presented
Provide support for students in crisis
Support students on outings by driving them into the community
Utilize a variety of learning methods to enhance the student's learning experiences and support them as needed

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the Direct Service Manager, a Direct Service Lead is responsible to provide support, guidance, direction, re-direction to the children attending Community direct-care services, and outpatient services. Direct Service Lead will oversee Direct Service Providers who deliver services that support youth with emotional, physical and mental health challenges. Requirements
