The Instructional Aide assists teachers and students in an effort to ensure every student receives the most effective education each hour. Additionally, the Instructional Aide provides support for directors in various clerical duties in an education setting. Duties and Responsibilities: • Prepare student binders/materials prior to the beginning of each instructional hour. • Coordinate weekly birthday and mountain climbing celebrations • Prepare daily schedule and seating assignments as prescribed by the director. • Enthusiastically greet students and direct them to their assigned table each hour. • Provide additional materials to teachers as needed and requested. • Assist teachers in the delivery of lessons to individual students in need of additional support. • Maintain master attendance records with no errors. • Facilitate a fun learning activity to the entire class at the conclusion of each hour. • Help proctor progress assessments and initial diagnostic exams. • Call or text parents when a student has not shown up for their scheduled hour. • Additional duties required to support the overall progress and customer service of the center. Ideal Candidate • Read and write at a college level and mastery of mathematics through Algebra. • Very warm and enthusiastic demeanor. Position Description Title/PD#: Housekeeping Aid-EVS Technician/PD99909-S Physical Requirements: Duties require constant physical demands such as bending, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and reaching. Incumbent must climb ladders to clean overhead equipment and operate heavy duty commercial cleaning equipment that requires eye, hand and body coordination. Incumbent must be able to work with arms extended over head for extended periods of time. Incumbent must be able to travel from building to building in extreme weather conditions ranging from a high of 109 degrees Fahrenheit to a low of -25 degrees Fahrenheit. Incumbent must be able to continually stand, bend, stoop and reach while performing regular duties. Must be able to lift or carry objects weighing 50+lbs. Occasionally pushes loads weighing up to 700lbs. Mostly works indoors in adequately heated, lighted and ventilated areas.
