May also have contact with physicians and cafeteria customers. Contributes to overall Nutrition Services Department and ever growing services. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION: (Nutrition Services Aide) PREPARATION AND TRAINING - Work requires the ability to read, write, perform simple arithmetic and transmit simple orders to other employees. Moderate computer skills required. WORK EXPERIENCE - Prior food service experience preferred, but not required. FUNCTIONS: Carry out individual and group activities as planned by the Activity Manager. Invite residents to participate in the activities offered. Assist residents coming to, participating in, and exiting from the activities programs in all ways possible with the exception of duties expressly reserved for the nursing staff such as transferring and assisting with gait. Serve daily snacks to the residents following directions regarding the specific diets of each resident. Be responsible for keeping the activity room and activity kitchen neat.
