This position is committed to working with individuals, groups and college students in the residence hall environment. Candidates work period is for an academic year (August 15 -May 15).Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Assist the Residence Hall Director in implementing, monitoring and reporting on all programs, designed to promote the growth and development of students.
* Assist the Residence Hall Director in orientation of new students to the University as well as the Residence Hall.
* Assist the Residence Hall Director in enforcing Residence Hall policies and regulations.
* Assist the Residence Hall Director in maintaining records and reports for incidents, damages and repairs.
* Counsel and advise students and/or refers to appropriate resource persons.
* Duties may be performed or assigned on other designated shifts and/or buildings as necessary.
* Performs related duties as required.
Minimum Position Requirements (including certifications, licenses, etc.):
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Experience as a security guard, hotel front desk agent, customer service representative, counseling, group work, or human relations training is a plus.
Conditions of Employment:
* Required to work on campus during usual break periods (i.e. Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break, etc.).
* Must be able to work on the weekend.
Physical Requirement:
* Must be able to climb several flights of stairs
* Must be able to stand for a long period of time

Required Qualifications
