Job Details RIVERPLEX RECREATION & WELLNESS CENTER - PEORIA, IL Part Time $15.00 HourlyDescription Duties: Under the supervision of the Out of School Programs and Camp Manager, the PlayCare Attendant is responsible for the following: Supervise and care for children aged 2-10 in the child watch space while their families utilize the gym. Facilitate children's play experiences in a welcoming, enthusiastic, and safe manner. Lead recreational activities for children under your care. Activities include but are not limited to: arts and crafts, Legos, pretend play, sports, reading, puzzles, and more. The entry level position is ideal for a candidate looking to get exposure to local government and, more specifically, the functions of the Community Development Department. Counsels property owners on remedial measures to prevent future violations. * Fosters positive interactions with residents and property owners, promoting community awareness of City ordinances. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED; and experience in public contact work in a service organization including some experience in environmental inspection. Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job, considered.
