Provides families with consumer information and resources available to enable them to achieve self-sufficiency (i.e. tax information, community resources, housing, etc.). Have director-delegated authority for certification of child care services, placement of children in appropriate child care situations, issuance of vouchers and closing of child care cases in a timely manner. (The impact of errors are: loss of revenue to the agency from errors in documentation, audit exceptions, etc.; unmet child care needs; customer/public alienation; and loss of manpower and time.) Uses own transportation to make periodic contacts and visits to centers, family child care homes and unregulated providers. Holds conferences with center directors, teachers, and parents as needed.
