This position will authorize child care for parents and providers. This position completes the process for ensuring that eligible children and parents participating in the Wisconsin Shares program are authorized for the appropriate hours of care with a certified or licensed provider in compliance with state and federal law and requirements. Child Care Subsidy Specialists are responsible for reviewing child care eligibility, ensuring the parent has provided accurate and complete verification documents, applying appropriate state and federal policies, and completing authorizations in a timely manner. Child Care Subsidy Specialists are required to perform detailed case reviews to secure all information necessary to complete or modify the authorization and determine if fraud or other misappropriation has occurred. This position ensures that the unique circumstances of specialized cases - such as children with special health care needs and foster care cases - are handled expeditiously. Child Care Subsidy Specialists have a high level of interaction with parents receiving Wisconsin Shares, either in person or telephonically. This position is responsible for coordinating services with other sections within MECA, with eligibility workers in the Department of Health Services, with W-2 Agency staff and with other internal and external organizations as necessary. This position ensures high quality and effective processing of authorization requests; ensures compliance with state and federal laws, administrative rules and policies; and recommends improvements/revisions as necessary to the section supervisor. Salary Information The classification title for this position is Child Care Subsidy Specialist - Entry. The starting salary is between $23.00 and $27.00 per hour ($47,840 and $56,160 annually), depending on qualifications. Pay for current State of WI employees will be based on the compensation plan in effect at the time of the appointment. Pay for current state employees who are transferring will be determined based upon the pay on transfer rules (higher level duties or equity) as outlined in the compensation plan in effect at the time of appointment. The pay schedule/range is 12-64. A one-year probationary period may be required. The JCC Rainbow Day Camp is currently hiring energetic, passionate and hard-working individuals as Special Education Aids. Aids work with specific campers who participate in the inclusion program at JCC Rainbow Day Camp. Qualifications: * High School Diploma or G.E.D. with six (6) semester hours of child development coursework or High School Diploma or G.E.D. with a non-expired CDA Certification and one year of experience working in an early childhood or childcare program. * Gateways Level 2 Early Childhood Education credential is required within 1 year of employment, Infant/Toddler CDA or Preschool CDA, Food Handler Certification, First Aid and CPR preferred. * Note: If you only have a high school diploma without a CDA, you must obtain a CDA within 6 months of employment as part of your professional development plan goals. * A minimum of one year of experience in an early childhood setting, ideally with knowledge of Head Start/Preschool for All programs. * Preferred knowledge: Creative Curriculum, Coaching to Fidelity, Teaching Strategies GOLD, ITERS/ECERS and CLASS and Child Developmentally screening and assessment tools. * Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with children and families from diverse backgrounds. Description: To assist individuals with disabilities ages 13 and older in evening programs, implementation and oversight of the scheduled activities for both indoor and outdoor recreational settings. Essential Functions: * To provide direct leadership, supervision, and assistance in the implementation of all assigned recreation evening programs and services. * Assist in providing developmentally appropriate activities that meet the needs and interests of participants with disabilities. * Assist in the implementation of daily activities in a program setting according to established schedule. * Accompany and participate with participants in scheduled activities or field trips. * Assist in the development and implementation of goals and objectives specific to area of responsibility. * Assist in the evaluation of programs and services in area of responsibility. * Maintain program area in a clean, organized, and neat manner. * Assist with the maintenance of reports and records regarding participants, programs and services. * Establish a cooperative working relationship with coworkers and parents. * Attend pertinent departmental/park district meetings and in-house training sessions. * Conduct self in accordance with the policies and procedures as established by the park district. * Participate in park district safety and training program to ensure that work performed and services provided are implemented in a safe manner.
