A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) works under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to assist in providing rehabilitation services to individuals with physical, mental, or developmental conditions that affect their ability to perform everyday activities. The COTA helps patients improve motor skills, cognitive abilities, and daily living tasks to enhance their independence and quality of life. Key Responsibilities: Implementing Treatment Plans: Assist in carrying out the treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist. Provide therapeutic activities to help patients regain skills necessary for daily living and working.
