    Part-time Description $50 hour Part-Time Services rendered at Mansfield Juvenile Treatment Center The AQT Instructional Liaison will professionally guide cohorts in a juvenile detention facility who have been charged with a crime or are otherwise demonstrating pre-delinquent behaviors. AQT Instructional Liaison will assist cohorts with the knowledge of gaining employment and model on-the-job work experience. Duties/Responsibilities: Assesses each cohort situation and needs based on willingness to return to their communities and gain skillful employment/trade. Identifies a variety of resources and methods to help cohorts avoid committing more crimes and provides opportunities to assist them in becoming responsible citizens. Coordinates a variety of services such as crisis intervention, educational services and youth mentoring. Acts as liaison with cohorts regarding employment and/or vocational training. Sets guidelines for the behavior and actions of cohorts and recommends removal from program when those expectations are not met. Establishes and maintains detailed monthly records for each cohort; evaluates behavior during classroom interactions and makes related recommendations to AQT Admin team. Educates and informs the cohorts on youth programs and services available in the area or their area they will be released to. Maintains current knowledge and list of community resources and services available to assist and rehabilitate juveniles and their families. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and critical-thinking skills. Ability to stay calm in difficult and emotional situations and to inform/educate troubled youth. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education and Experience: High School Diploma Two years of related experience with at-risk adolescents highly preferred Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
