Assists Activities Therapist in their groups and substitutes for them in their absence with direction;
Accurately documents patient behavior, affect, cognition, and participation in unit activities;
Demonstrates and models desired behaviors such as objectivity, concern and empathy;
Determines patient's needs and arranges disposition or admission, including contact with other agencies and transfer to other psych facilities when appropriate;
Provides families with information regarding patient's rights, etc. keeping in mind confidentiality and reports problems to staff nurse;
Interacts supportively with the patient, their family and other members of the patient care team;
Maintains safety of patients and personnel by observing and reporting potential problems;
Aids in managing crisis situations;
Assists patient with activities of daily living as required;
