We're hiring immediately for motivated Direct Care Workers to join our Residential team. Direct Care Workers are entry level and require no previous experience (must have a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a safe/reliable vehicle to be eligible for hire) . We are looking for individuals who want to be actively involved in helping people live their best life. Direct Care Workers are responsible for supporting residents with the completion of daily living activities such as meal preparation, household maintenance, transportation, and active engagement in the individual's treatment plan. Each year, more than 400 children, adults and their families receive services from the organization. Job Summary: • Guards the safety of pool users and responds to emergencies. Responsibilities: • Inspects aquatic areas regularly and reports all maintenance concerns and incidents of worn equipment. • Explains pool rules and ensures the safety of those using the aquatic area by remaining vigilant and be ready to respond to emergency situations. Enforces policies. Educates participants about aquatic safety policies for all aquatic areas. • Assist the instruction of swim lessons or exercise classes as training allows. Report all incidents and injuries per department regulations. • Conduct chemical tests and maintain accurate water test records and attendance records in accordance with health department regulations. • Demonstrates efficient utilization of products, supplies, equipment & time. • Knowledgeable in operation of the pool & maintains all daily pool operations. • Cleans & maintains laundry and equipment on a daily basis. • Assists in therapy departments when needed/assigned.

The Mental Health Association is seeking a dedicated Direct Care Worker/ Residential Recovery Specialist (RRS) to join our team. In this role, the RRS will work within our GRIT program, supporting individuals who are navigating co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges. The Specialist will create a safe and nurturing environment that fosters recovery, empowerment, and respect for diversity. Key Responsibilities: Offer daily support, emotional guidance, and encouragement to residents. Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans and interventions. Facilitate daily living activities, such as meal preparation, household upkeep, and transportation. Promote recovery-focused activities and community engagement among residents. Develop supportive relationships and maintain a trauma-informed approach to care. Working Schedule: We currently have openings for specific shifts, including: 3rd Shift, overnights (full-time, 40 hours) Fri-Tues 11pm-7am Requirements High School Diploma or GED is required. Experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly in mental health or substance use fields, is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with residents from diverse backgrounds. Must be able to pass and maintain certifications in Medication Administration (MAP), CPR, and first aid. Valid driver's license, sufficient auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle are required for the role.
