The STEP aides will: * Organize, facilitate, and monitor the activities of children enrolled in their assigned area within the STEP program * Monitor and interact with students to keep them engaged in creative, artistic, and physical activities * Participate and assist with the activities of children enrolled in the program as needed * Monitor students while outside on the playground areas * Ensure student understanding of program rules and procedures * Assist in resolving student disputes; refer serious discipline problems to the STEP director * Participate in regular staff meetings and assist with in-service training as needed * Perform related duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Graduation from high school, or equivalent. * Experience from volunteering or working with and monitoring school-aged children in an organized work setting (ages 4-14). * Any other combination of training and experience that could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities will be considered. * Must be able to be Virtus trained and keep up with online training (typically 1/month). Job Summary Under the assigned supervisor, Case Aides I are responsible for assisting Intensive Placement Stabilization (IPS) case managers and clinicians in the preparation and maintenance of client case files to ensure they receive the comprehensive care outlined by the IPS case manager and Clinician team. The role of Case Aides extends from supporting IPS Case Managers and IPS Therapists with a variety of administrative tasks. They collaborate with Intensive Placement Stabilization (IPS) case managers and clinicians to ensure that their client's digital tracking, files, and paperwork are aligned and meet expectations per the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) contractual obligations. IPS Case Aides support the streamlining of intake procedures, internal and external Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), Counsel of Accreditation (COA), and DCFS contract reviews. IPS Case Aides are required to use independence (or work under the direction of a supervisor) when performing job tasks/providing services. IPS Case Aides are expected to actively participate in a variety of cross functional teams, training, and performance improvement initiatives. General Duties and Responsibilities • Reports to the Child Abuse Hotline as directed by the Mandated Reporter Act • Will provide exceptional customer service to parents, foster caregivers, referring case agencies, and other team members. • Conducts frequent regional and all-state in-person and virtual team meetings with staff, referring case agency and community partners. • Participates in frequent agency management meetings and work groups. • Will Maintain discretion, as they are entrusted with a client's personal information and knowledge of their unique situation. This confidentiality extends to ensuring client data is secure. • Reports any exposure to communicable diseases. • Submits expense vouchers, renewed driver's licenses, and automobile insurance coverage on the due date. • Support the creation and maintenance of programmatic information in Microsoft Teams and on the SharePoint site. • Will assist with updating client demographic and other data in the IPS database. • Will ensure weekly filing of all IPS, Mentoring, and FPSS documents in client files. • Direct paperwork to client files and archive files according to predetermined storage procedure with AOA and direct supervisor. • Create client files and paperwork packets to be used for client meetings by IPS case managers and clinicians. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Position is full time with anticipated schedule 8:30 am- 5 pm or later as needed • Responsible for overseeing multiple client files at a time, ensuring information is accurate, preparing and maintaining case files, and keeping detailed records in southern IPS offices of Collinsville, Effingham, Mt. Vernon, and Charleston. • Remain up to date on applicable document changes. • Support input in the IPS database of sessions, strength-based purchases, and communications with referring case agency and DCFS contract holder. • Will participate in weekly IPS Check-Ins with all state IPS and FPSS teams. • Will participate in Attachment, Regulation, and Competency training. • Will complete Database Data Entry for several IPS sites, per funder requirement • Will assist with transport as approved and needed for youth • Will participate in Strength based delivery of items or research • Will complete several administrative tasks within IPS funder requirements • This position will require travel to local coverage area offices for internal and external reviews, training, and meetings. • Maintain positive relationships with other agencies and community members as applicable. • Performs other related duties as assigned.
