SEEDS: Access Changes Everything (formerly New Jersey SEEDS) is a privately funded, statewide,
nonprofit organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities to academically talented,
financially limited students. SEEDS works with competitive, primarily independent, secondary
schools to provide opportunities for highly motivated, academically qualified, and economically
disadvantaged students.
The College Scholars Program was announced in April 2015 as an immersion experience
designed to reach three times as many students in a wider geographic area than SEEDS' existing
high school academic initiative. College Scholars participate in academic classes each Saturday
during the spring of students' eleventh-grade year, and throughout the twelfth-grade. In addition,
students take part in a three-week residential session during the summer before their senior year
in high school. Throughout the 17-month program, College Scholars receive intensive academic,
college application, and social supports so that they can be accepted to and succeed in highly
competitive colleges and universities.
POSITIONS
We are currently seeking instructors for the College 101 course designed by SEEDS. In this
course, professors focus on writing, college admissions, and life skills. A curriculum that with
required readings, assessments, and assignments will be provided, but the teacher will have
considerable liberty to teach in her/his own way. Must have college counseling or admissions
knowledge/background. Teaching experience with high school and/or college-aged students a
plus; teaching certification is not required.
PRIMARY TEACHING RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach subject area according to curriculum guidelines specified by SEEDS
Teach a minimum of about 15 students Saturdays throughout Spring
Review, correct, and comment on written assignments, exams, and projects
Develop strong relationships with students
Attend and participate in faculty meetings with Programs
Maintain ongoing curriculum evaluation and development to meet needs of students
For remote instruction this fall, faculty must:
Have comfort in learning and using digital tools (i.e. required platforms - Zoom and Google Classroom)
Excel in a remote learning environment
Be able to connect and build rapport with students virtually
Have the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Have reliable and secure technology/equipment

Additionally, this faculty will coordinate student practicums, which includes vetting and developing relationships with potential practicum sites, on boarding approved sites, and monitoring quality assurance to ensure exceptional student fieldwork experiences. The new faculty member will be also expected to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in ABA and psychology as well as to contribute to student training. The ABA programs are approved Verified Course Sequences by the Association for Behavior Analysis, International.

A master's degree is required for all faculty positions with 18 graduate hours in the subject being taught

The Department of Business Administration in the School of Business and Digital Media invites applications for a full-time tenure-track or non tenure-track faculty appointment in accounting with a start date of September 2025. The successful applicant in this tenure track position will teach accounting courses at the undergraduate level and will also be expected to teach in the Master of Business Administration program. There are teaching needs in many areas of the accounting curriculum, including financial and managerial accounting, tax, and accounting technology. In addition to a successful teaching record at undergraduate and/or graduate levels, we seek candidates that can provide strong academic advisement and contribute to the departmental mission to offer a wide range of approaches to undergraduate and graduate business education. This full-time, nine-month appointment presents an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students through both teaching and service.
This is a full-time, tenure or non tenure-track position, commensurate with experience.
Essential Functions:
* The teaching load for a tenure track position is 24 credits each year, 12 credits each semester; the teaching load for non-tenure-track position is 30 credits each year, 15 credits each semester.
* Candidates are expected to provide excellence in teaching across different modalities including face-to-face, online, and hybrid classes.
* Tenure track faculty are expected to engage in scholarly activity, which can take many different forms.
* Faculty provide academic advising and other support to students.
* Opportunities to advise student research are available and encouraged.
* Faculty are also expected to offer service to the department, University, and community.
* Perform some departmental administrative duties as deemed necessary by the Department Chair.
* Integrate the core values of respect, compassion, integrity, justice and service in all aspects of interaction.
Qualifications:
* Master's degree in accounting, or related field, plus a related license or certification. Strong preference given to applicants with a doctoral degree in accounting or related field, ABD considered.
* Teaching experience at both the undergraduate and graduate levels
* Experience in curriculum development, including embedding technology into courses.
* Relevant professional license/certification (included, but not limited to, CPA, CMA, and CIA certifications) and relevant industry experience
* Evidence of research activity and scholarship, professional engagement in accounting or related fields (tenure track)
* Commitment and sensitivity to issues of diversity.
* Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively.
* Ability to teach in both traditional and non-traditional formats and settings (day, evening, hybrid, and online).
* Ability and willingness to learn to effectively use instructional technology (internet, instructional software, and Blackboard).
