Other responsibilities include attending on-ground and virtual events such as faculty meetings and admission events, curriculum assessment and development, institutional effectiveness and accreditation support, and any other events, exhibitions, or publicity assignments. Job Summary
The Associate Professor / Director of Public Services provides direction and leadership for the Instruction and Research Services and Access Services Departments. The Associate Professor / Director develops cooperative and collaborative partnerships across the university and with external organizations, working to extend the reach of the library's services and resources. The incumbent for this department chair-equivalent position will create and promote innovation and change while respecting the principles and best practices of the profession and articulating the library's vision to stakeholders.
The Associate Professor / Director coordinates the following functions of the library: teaching & learning (including innovative technology), reference, liaison services, outreach, and public spaces. The incumbent leads a talented team of library faculty and staff in the implementation and assessment of the library's strategic plan as it relates to public-facing services and resources and guides the team in setting department goals and continuously assessing services and programs.
This 12-month administrative faculty position requires an ALA-accredited master's degree in Library Science, with the experience and documented achievements appropriate for consideration of a tenured appointment at the rank of Associate Professor.
Responsibilities
Faculty - Teaching/Instructing -
A primary responsibility of this position is the implementation, scheduling, and assessment of the library's Information Studies minor, a for-credit interdisciplinary program focusing on the creation, use, communication, and management of information. The minor is made up of two required courses and three elective courses offered on a rotating basis, with a minimum of two courses taught each Fall and Spring semester.
The Associate Director also coordinates the implementation, scheduling, and assessment of the library's contribution to the university's core curriculum, Research in the Age of Google, a section of which is offered each Fall and Spring Semester. The Associate Director works cooperatively with the Instruction Coordinator, who manages non-credit information literacy instruction, including one-shot sessions, research consultations, and workshops to implement a comprehensive information literacy program.

There are several locations within the Cobb County Sheriff's Office that the Criminal Justice Specialist is assigned. This position requires shift work depending on the area assigned. Consideration for education and experience will be given for starting salary.
The work schedule for each location is listed below:
Adult Detention Center: 12 hour shifts, 0600-1800 hours or 1800 hours to 0600 hours. If working 1800 -0600 hours, $1.00 per hour extra is given for shift differential. $1.30 per hour extra Detention Pay is given for working at the ADC location. These positions work a varied off day assignment.
Warrant Room: 8 or 10 hour shift depending on assigned shift. There are 3 shifts for this work location, Day, Evening and overnight. Evening shift differential pay is .50 extra per hour, overnight shift differential pay is $1.00 extra per hour. These positions work a varied off day assignment.
Court Security: 8 hour shifts typically Monday through Friday with hours ranging from 0600-1900 hours.

The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology is one of the largest producers of electrical engineers and computer engineers in the United States. Almost 2,600 students are enrolled in the School's graduate and undergraduate programs, and in the last academic year, 801 degrees were awarded. All ECE undergraduate and graduate programs are in the top five of the most recent college rankings by U.S. News & World Report.
