This Fellowship commences during the summer of 2025 and ends during the summer of 2027. It is designed for lawyers with at least three years of practice who are considering a career in law school teaching. The fellow will work with the Community Equity Lab, which works with communities and community-based institutions to build a community-centered vision of justice, and the tools necessary to achieve it, through litigation and advocacy, and the Immigrant Rights Clinic, which engages in direct legal representation of immigrants and community organizations in litigation and in immigrant rights campaigns. Responsibilities include (i) supervising law students in related matters and serving as a mentor and role model to law students in the clinic and lab; (ii) helping to design and teach clinic seminar classes; (iii) sharing in the administrative responsibilities of the courses; and (iv) working on independent advocacy initiatives. Candidates must be able to work both independently and as part of a team and must possess strong written and oral communication skills. Applicants should also have a commitment to working collaboratively with law students. In compliance with New York City's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this position is $110,000.
