It is designed for lawyers with at least three years of practice who are considering a career in law school teaching. The fellow will work with the Business Transactions Clinic, which represents organizational clients in a wide range of transactional matters, and the Entrepreneurship Clinic, which provides transactional legal services to low-income and moderate- income entrepreneurs and community-based organizations in New York City on issues relating to new and emerging businesses. Responsibilities include (i) supervising law students in related cases and serving as a mentor and role model to law students in the clinics; (ii) helping to design and teach clinic seminar classes; and (iii) sharing in the administrative responsibilities of the clinics. Candidates must be able to work both independently and as part of a team and must possess strong written and oral communication skills. Applicants should also have a commitment to working collaboratively with law students and practicing transactional law in the public interest.
