program and work closely with the program's advisory committee. This position has been designated as a bargaining unit position represented by the Renton Federation of Teachers (RFT) Employees Association.

Professional license and recent field and office experience are desirable. This adjunct teaching position is for the Land Surveying program.

Enter student grade records and final grades in Canvas system. (On-line system).
Ensure the quality of quantity of instruction provided is consistent with the stated objectives of the college and industry.
Evaluate student progress towards attaining the learning outcomes, including thoughtfully designed individual assignments, projects, quizzes, and standardized tests.
Design inclusive instructional strategies, including classroom, small groups and individualized instruction, to reach all students, and select and evaluate the materials needed to implement these strategies.
Maintain office hours convenient to students.
Participate in recruiting and job placement activities for students with varied backgrounds and career goals.
Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated leadership or participation in institutional programs with persons from diverse backgrounds such as sexual orientation, racial, ethnic, religious, linguistic, gender, age, socio-economic, physical and learning abilities, and a commitment to an inclusive and equitable working / learning environment.
Bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited college or university, related land surveying / geomatics/geospatial science. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Minimum of four years' recent successful work experience in the land surveying field.
Proficient in the use of instrumentation such as total stations and field controllers. Experience working with Microsoft Office Word and Excel. Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD software and Civil 3D.
Provide evidence of ability to instruct students in the function and operation of computer software and hardware.
Ability to design learning experiences that are interactive and respectful of cultural differences.
Ability to work effectively with individuals whose first language is not English.
Ability to work effectively and engage with adult learners.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
Demonstrated attention to detail required as well as previous experience maintaining accurate records, managing multiple tasks, and planning and organizing work in order to meet changing priorities and deadlines.
Ability to represent the college in a positive and professional manner, while using tact, discretion and courtesy.
Speaker of a language in addition to English is preferred- preference for top spoken languages in the RTC service area (Spanish, Vietnamese, Russian, Somali, Chinese).

Professional Land Surveyor preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work involves face-to-face instruction and is performed in a classroom which is adequately heated and ventilated, and in an on-campus outdoor environment, sometimes in rainy conditions. Occasional off-campus student field trips may be expected. Frequent use of computer and exposure to terminal screens in performing work assignments required.
Terms of Employment
In the interest of providing a healthy, safe and secure educational and work environment, and in order to meet the requirements of federal legislation, it is the policy of Renton Technical College to maintain an alcohol and drug-free workplace for our employees and students.
This is an adjunct faculty position contracted on a quarterly basis. Lecture (theory) credits are compensated at $1,058 per credit, which includes scheduled class time and final exam days, in addition to a per credit stipend based on the high demand tier. All guided practice instructional credits for adjunct will be paid with an additional pay factor of 1.33. Future advancement in base salary, up to the current maximum of $1,592 per credit, is based upon a combination of years of service accrued at our college and professional development activity.
Degree Stipend:
Master's or Doctorate degree stipends are paid on a prorated per credit rate.

Essential Functions/Duties
* Teach introductory and upper-division courses in Technical Design in accordance with departmental policies and assigned class schedules (evening classes available)
* Focus on technical scripting, implementation of gameplay systems, and systems where design is closely integrated with code, such as procedural generation of content. Technical designers bridge the gap between engineers and pure designers, often building tools, establishing APIs with the engineers, and guiding engineers' efforts to meet design goals.
* Demonstrate design and analysis techniques

The Opportunity:
Washington State University (WSU) in Everett WA has started a new research and education program to meet burgeoning demand for computer scientists with expertise in cybersecurity. This initiative is supported by $2 million in Washington state funding. We invite applications for a 9-month academic year, full-time career-track teaching faculty in the broad area of cybersecurity at the assistant or associate professor level. About the Department
The Science Division at Bellevue College is organized into seven programs: Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Molecular Biosciences, Engineering, Computer Science, and Earth & Space Science. The Mathematics Department consists of nineteen full-time faculty and a number of quarterly-contracted faculty. Over three hundred sections of mathematics are offered annually ranging from pre-algebra through linear algebra, differential equations, and discrete math. These courses support professional technical programs, transfer degree programs, and four-year degree programs at Bellevue College (including Computer Science and Data Analytics). Essential Functions
Typically, part-time faculty in Mathematics teach on campus, as dictated by program need, course schedule, and enrollment demand. Most classes meet daily, though there are some that meet twice per week onsite. In addition, part-time faculty are expected to be available to students periodically outside of class; to engage students actively in their own learning; to maintain high standards regarding course content; provide students with timely feedback on their course work and examinations; and to adhere to program assessment practices and policies. Part-time faculty may be expected to participate in student success efforts and assessment tasks.

Summary of Responsibilities
As an Annual Renewable Assistant Professor in the School of Transportation, you will teach, develop materials and experiences, and manage a classroom and lab facility that provides students with the basic skills that are required to enter the automotive industry as a technician in a dealership, independent shop or fleet facility using the standards put forth by LWTech and the National Automotive Technician Education Foundation (NATEF).
The ideal candidate will be able to combine technical expertise with supportive and collaborative learning attitudes and behavioral modeling that is formative to our students' success. Managing lab facilities and budgets to sustain the program and working as part of a collaborative team with other faculty and staff are key components in this position. This position reports to the program dean.
The technical expertise that this person brings will be from the automotive industry that possesses a minimum of 5 years full time experience in the field, in addition to a record of formal transportation training exemplified by AAS attainment, journeyman level apprenticeship, or formal dealership training.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Model and teach productive and constructive work habits and attitudes, safety, study skills, industry performance standards and core skills as identified by the college
Develop and incorporate instructional methods, curriculum and modes that support best learning practices and adapt to varied learner populations, preparing students to be work-ready graduates
Develop and maintain classroom and lab processes and procedures, including safety, that follow local, state, and federal policies and procedures; share responsibility for educational facilities and equipment; repair and maintain shop equipment and tools as needed

Evaluate, monitor, and direct the work of other program staff as assigned including, Instructional Support Technicians, volunteers and work-study students
Engage in budget development, grant planning and program budget expenditures to best meet program needs and anticipate growth; participate in marketing and in outreach to new audiences to assure program sustainability and growth
Participate with campus individuals who are creating and implementing grants, scholarship, and direct donations to the program
Actively participate as a team member in program management and campus initiatives; be familiar with and advance the college's mission, vision, and goals and how they relate to the Automotive Repair Technician program; attend and participate in department and college meetings as appropriate; participate in college accreditation, program review and college committees as specified in the faculty bargained agreement

Compensation & Work Schedule

The Department of Design faculty who teach these topics are themselves subject matter experts who bring decades of first-hand industry experience from the world of mobile games, PC/console games, tabletop games, user research, and more. They help students learn design thinking and how to solve problems from the vantage of the end user, creating more seamless and engaging experiences in the process.
Design courses at DigiPen cover a multitude of sub-disciplines within the broader practice of professional game design and development. Most of these courses fall into one of six design specialization tracks - systems design, level design, user experience design, narrative design, technical design, and user research.

Essential Functions/Duties
* Teach introductory and upper-division courses in System Design in accordance with departmental policies and assigned class schedules (evening classes available)
* Focus on gameplay systems and user/player choice in games and projects. The ideal candidate has a passion for helping students reduce complex systems to simple understandable components/modules and understands how systems interact to encourage engaging experiences for users.
* Demonstrate design and analysis techniques
* Grade, critique, and input assignment feedback on a weekly basis to the learning management system (Moodle)
* Organize class activities, demos, and assignments
* Relate assignments and tests to learning outcomes
* Manage Student Teaching Assistants, if required; supervising their punches and reviewing their weekly hours
* Provide input, create, and improve course materials
* Offer weekly office hours
* In-person teaching, with online classes when necessary, in Redmond, WA
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in any field or equivalent.
* 5+ years of professional design experience (for example, 2+ shipped titles, published works, published research projects, or other body of work)
* Lecture experience, including professional talks or panels at conventions or events.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Demonstrate evidence of teaching experience that supports a diverse student body and individuals from a variety of backgrounds and experiences
* Ability to accommodate different learning styles and special needs
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Design, Psychology, Communications, Interactive Media, or a related field.
* 10+ years of experience, including design lead positions, with the ability to apply the skills of the area of specialization.
* Shipped titles on different platforms and media
* Instructor experience in a college setting, or other teaching experience.

Associate Professor or Professor, CS, Phase I/Developmental Therapeutics Clinical Trials Program Head
The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) and the University of Washington (UW) invite nominations and applications to lead the Phase I Developmental Therapeutics clinical trials program. The position will be dual appointed with a primary faculty appointment in the Clinical Research Division at Fred Hutch and a secondary appointment in the UW Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology. The position will report to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of the Clinical Research Division at Fred Hutch and the Division Head of Hematology and Oncology at the UW.
We seek a visionary leader to head our Phase I Developmental Therapeutics Program, focusing on innovative therapies to provide hope and healing to cancer patients. This Program Head will lead and oversee the development and execution of early-phase clinical trials for novel cancer therapies. This role is crucial in translating groundbreaking research into clinical practice, ensuring the safe and efficient evaluation of new treatments. The successful candidate will partner with leaders of the Fred Hutch immunotherapy integrated research center and cell-based therapy team to develop and execute an institutional early phase trial strategy. The Program Head will foster strong collaborations with translational researchers and clinical investigators at UW and Fred Hutch and will forge partnerships with biotech and pharmaceutical industry partners to grow the phase I program assets and advance our mission of delivering transformative cancer therapies to our patients.
The Program Head's overall responsibility will be to maintain and expand our Phase 1 clinical trials program in collaboration with our immune therapy and cell-based therapy teams. Specific tasks will include (1) providing leadership in designing, implementing, and managing early-phase clinical trials; (2) working on a team to oversee appropriate selection and placement of phase I trials (3) coordinating the infrastructure needed for optimal implementation of phase I studies, including research nurses, data coordinators, regulatory affairs, tissue acquisition, and biostatistical support; (4) working with medical oncology and other faculty to assure patient accrual to studies; (5) direct care of a portion of the study patients in addition to the faculty member's standard of care patients; and (6) outreach to community oncology providers to enhance access to Phase 1 trials. The candidate may also specialize in the treatment of a cancer subtype, in which case they could maintain a subspecialty clinic that is separate from their role as the Phase I Program Head. The incumbent will serve as an academic, clinical and educational leader charged with organizing, directing and expanding the research efforts for an established team of clinical researchers involved in conducting phase I trials. Responsibilities include assisting with faculty recruitment as well as oversight and mentorship of faculty leading Phase I trials. Teaching responsibilities will involve oversight of advanced practice providers and fellows during inpatient and outpatient rotations, and delivery of informal teaching sessions and formal lectures to providers and the general medical community.
Appointment at Fred Hutch would be at the rank of associate or full professor in the Clinical Research Division of the Fred Hutch. Appointment to the full-time faculty at the UW would be at the rank of associate or full professor, without tenure due to funding. Academic appointments at the University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank. Associate and full professors hold indefinite appointments that both align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
Opportunities exist for joint and/or affiliate appointment in the Fred Hutch Divisions of Public Health Sciences, Translational Science and Therapeutics, Human Biology, Basic Sciences, or Vaccine and Infectious Disease, depending on mutual interests. Fred Hutch and University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.
The successful candidate will be appointed in the Clinician Scholar track and will spend approximately 30% of time on clinical care based on the candidate's interests (and institutional need). The remainder of the incumbent's time will be protected for research, administrative oversight of the Fred Hutch Phase I clinical research programs, teaching and mentorship, for the first three years, after which, the incumbent would be expected to cover at least half of their salary each year through grants, contracts, or clinical work.

Compensation is prorated based on type and duration of assignments. Individuals newly hired to Adjunct Professor group at the college are placed at the minimum rate per union bargaining agreement. Certain positions may also be eligible for assignment/project-based additional compensation, including a High Demand Stipend up to $8,350 annually, prorated based on the discipline and duration of the assignment. All additional compensations are subject to change depending on funding and negotiated agreement.

About the Department
The Accounting Department consists of two full-time faculty and a number of quarterly-contracted faculty. Our annual enrollments have grown from 1,431 in 2016 to 1,712 for the academic year ended June 30, 2021.

Essential Functions
Typically, part-time faculty in Accounting teach on campus, as dictated by program need, course schedule, and enrollment demand. Most classes meet one or two days a week. In addition, part-time faculty are expected to be available to students periodically outside of class; to engage students actively in their own learning; to maintain high standards regarding course content; provide students with timely feedback on their course work and examinations; and to adhere to program assessment practices and policies. Part-time faculty may be expected to participate in governance activities to support student success efforts and assessment tasks. Courses are offered in online and on campus modalities. Faculty may be assigned to teach classes in either modality.
