Job Duties The Travis and Cassandra Burt Distinguished Professorship will provide support to a faculty member in the Department of Cardiovascular Sciences that will serve the Brody School of Medicine. This Professorship is expected to enhance the academic and research programs within the Brody School of Medicine department of Cardiovascular Sciences. The faculty member will conduct research and provide educational support for medical students and residents while continuing their own research, participating in departmental service, and mentoring scholarly activities while serving as a role model for faculty and students at East Carolina University. This Professorship is expected to enhance the academic and research programs within the Brody School of Medicine department of Cardiovascular Sciences. The faculty member will conduct research and provide educational support for medical students and residents in the fields of Cardiac Surgery while continuing their own research, participating in departmental service, and mentoring scholarly activities while serving as a role model for faculty and students at East Carolina University.
