Minimum Requirement
· Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which a Diploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree is conferred.

· Obtains and maintains certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
· Previous experience as a PCA or other nursing assistance preferred.

The Medical Cardiology unit is a 29-bed unit consisting of 1 private room, 13 semi-private rooms and one 4 bedroom. Patients are received from the Emergency Department, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, CCU, MICU, physician offices, and other facilities when inpatient admission is necessary.
The patient population served includes male and female, acute and chronically ill patients with a variety of cardiac and medical diagnoses. Most patients admitted to the unit require telemetry monitoring after receiving minimally-invasive and invasive cardiac procedures. The age range is from young adult (18 years) to geriatric (100+) years.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF RESTORATION ECOLOGY AS PART OF TREE and ECOSYSTEM RESTORATION PROGRAM CLUSTER The State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY ESF) in Syracuse, NY is building a faculty cluster in the Tree and Ecosystem Restoration Program (TERP). We invite applications for an academic-year (10 mo) tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Restoration Ecology. Individuals with strong interests in restoring forests in the northeastern United States and beyond through substantial participation in the ESF's Tree and Ecosystem Restoration Program (TERP), an expansion of the American Chestnut Research and Restoration Project (**************************************** are encouraged to apply. We seek a teacher-scholar strongly committed to both research and engaging students in the classroom and through mentorship at the undergraduate, MS, and PhD levels. The successful candidate will be expected to build an internationally recognized extramurally funded research program in forest restoration ecology. Research foci might include establishment and early management of natural or novel forest communities that maximize ecological function, are best adapted to climatic change, or are more resilient to a wide array of modern forest stressors. It is expected that the individual would have strong expertise with above and/or below ground macro and/or micro processes of terrestrial forest restoration; however, applicants with extensive forest wetland restoration experience will also be considered. It is anticipated that this individual, if interested, would have access to blight-resistant American chestnut and other genetically-modified tree species developed at ESF and approved for reintroduction. A strong interest in collaborative research within TERP, faculty in the Environmental Biology (EB) and Sustainable Resources Management departments, others across the College, and with external institutions is expected. The individual is expected to have a significant role in ESF's Restoration Science Center (**********************************************************
Responsibilities: The effort distribution for this position is 45% teaching, 45% research, and 10% service. Specific teaching responsibilities include: 1) one three-credit hour undergraduate course, i.e., Global Environment, a large service course in EB that is required by students multiple majors; 2) one advanced (graduate level) three or four credit hour course in ecological restoration that would serve EB and other departments on campus; and 3) a one credit hour graduate level seminar in the candidate's area of expertise. Research expectations are fully described within the Environmental Biology's Promotion and Tenure guidelines. Service responsibilities include advising undergraduate students, mentoring graduate students at the Master's and Doctoral levels, and participating in department, college, community and professional service.
Starting Salary: $75,000
