Job Overview: Our Residential Service Program offers a continuum of housing for the acutely and chronically mentally ill with supervised residences. Our purpose is to help those suffering from severe mental illness to live in the least restrictive setting that is compatible with their level of functioning. As a Residential Counselor in our Adult Residential Program, you will provide for the safety and security of adult clients within the residential setting by promoting a healthful and supportive environment. You will work closely with the residential nurse, supervisor and director in the implementation of adult individualized rehabilitation treatment goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain positive relationships with residents, fostering a supportive and caring environment.
Provide assistance and guidance to residents in daily living activities, including personal care, meal planning, and household chores.
Implement and monitor individualized treatment plans, ensuring the physical, emotional, and social well-being or residents.

Requirements:

The Dermatology Service is comprised of over 20 full time faculty. These faculty deliver care in a state of the art facility in Manhattan, NY as well as across MSK's network that extends from New Jersey to Eastern Long Island. The Dermatology Service is internationally renowned for its leadership in the fields of dermato-oncology and oncodermatology. There are highly integrated multispecialty teams focused on melanoma, complex non-melanoma skin cancers, and cutaneous lymphoma. There are specialty clinics for GVHD and wound care as well as exceptional programs for inpatient and outpatient consultative dermatology. A 7-day on, 7-day off work cycle
During the 7-day week, you are expected to see MSK patients in the Emergency Room and round on all MSK patients that are admitted.

Providing coordinated care with local subspecialists and to serve as a conduit between the MSK oncologists and patients.

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor's Degree; Advanced Degree desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN).
Current appropriate state licensure.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
6 - 8 years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
3+ years' supervisory or project/program management experience preferred.
Minimum of 12 months experience in clinical nursing is required. Experience in med/surg or ICU/CCU is preferred.
Minimum of 6 months chronic or acute dialysis nursing experience is required.
Must be available as a full-time employee and provide on-call coverage when necessary.
Demonstrated leadership competencies and skills for the position, including excellent communication, customer service, continuous quality improvement, relationship development, results orientation, team building, motivating employees, performance management, and decision making.
Demonstrated management skills necessary to provide leadership in the supervision of dialysis personnel and to ensure the delivery of maximum quality care to all patients.
Must complete Clinical Manager training modules and ongoing developmental programs within the specified time line.
