Cons of working at ABEC

the work environment can be extremely toxic. Co-workers, engineers, and team leaders engage in indiscreet gossiping, which can create a negative and unproductive atmosphere. Furthermore, non-work-related meetings are often held near work areas, which can be extremely distracting and disrupt your workflow. It's also worth mentioning that some employees engage in inappropriate behavior towards their colleagues, such as mocking them for being quiet or not being part of their group. This can create a hostile work environment and impact your ability to work effectively. “Management often ignores reports of these problems due to the prevalence of nepotism”. When working on project assignments, it's common to come across situations where you need to refer to your department's policies for guidance on how to perform certain functions within a design or accounting program. However, it is important to note that inconsistencies or inaccuracies in these policies could cause delays in completing your tasks. Additionally, seeking help from a supervisor may not always be encouraged in such cases. It is important to be cautious about who checks your work for redlines, as they may add extra markups and redundancies, which could negatively impact your yearly work evaluation. Moreover, it's not unusual to receive reprimands from project managers and sales executives for failing to manage your time effectively, even if you meet their deadlines. When facing difficulties that hinder productivity, the manager(s) may issue a 30-day performance warning. This warning indicates that improvement is necessary, and if not achieved, the employee may be terminated from the company. Furthermore, termination may occur even during holidays like Christmas.
