Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Machine setups, creating quality print products, general maintenance and clean up.
• Receive work assignments and communicate expectations daily schedule with co-employees.
• Prepare each job in accordance to the job order and follow schedule to prioritize and complete proper workload.
• Follow and comply with all safety rules, work rules and regulations.
• Maintain a consistently high level of production to assure a continuous work flow of the printing press.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence.

Requirements
What You Will Do
Spots (position) plates on the press and plates up the press units assigned correctly.
Inspect rolls of paper for damage and prepares paster patterns on all sizes of rolls correctly.
Assist with webbing the press from the reel level to the folder correctly.
Remove and install press blankets on the impression cylinders correctly.
Change and adjust ink and water rollers to correct settings.
Perform general press cleanup by emptying and scraping pans and the general cleaning the press as directed.
Perform preventative lubrication maintenance on the presses as assigned. Responsible for reporting any mechanical/electrical malfunctions or safety related issues promptly to the pressroom supervisor on duty.
Create and maintain a clean and safe work environment including properly disposing of rags and loose paper and wiping up ink or oil spilled on or around the press.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
* Our Printing Press Operators must adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
* Reports all safety concerns or issues to their immediate supervisor.
* Maintains a clean and safe work environment and area by completing daily housekeeping assignments.
* Completes make-ready in accordance with the Job Ticket and Product Specification documents to ensure correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, and anilox rollers are used.

General Position Summary:
The Offset Wet Glue Operator is responsible for the supervision and coordination of activities of the pressroom in producing quality reproductions and to perform highly-skilled production involving operation of various types of offset presses and related equipment. Responsibilities
Overall responsibility of the operation of the press. Heidelberg CD
Supervision of the press helper to assign duties such as: cleaning, paper levels, ink levels and additional duties.
Makes ready and operates sheet-fed offset printing press to print single and multicolor copy from lithographic plates.
Measures the plate thickness and inserts packing sheets on plate cylinder to build up plate to printing height and installs and locks plate into position, using handtools, to achieve pressure required for printing.
Measures the paper thickness and adjusts space between blanket and impression cylinders according to thickness of paper stock.
Starts press, examines printed copy for ink density, position on paper, and registration, and makes adjustments to press throughout production run to maintain specific registration and color density.
Removes and cleans plate and cylinders.
Monitors the production during run quality, maintaining all required samples.
Must work well with others in a team environment.
Recording of time and production for job costing.
Ability to meet daily production standards.
Performs all required preventative maintenance in accordance to production schedule.
Maintains a clean and organized work area and press.
Observe company work rules and safety regulations.
