Wellness coordinators work in the corporate field and are generally hired by companies, cities, or communities to encourage employees and residents to take better care of their health. They do this by designing, planning, and implementing health promotion campaigns to suit the needs of their target population.

You might also be required to plan, schedule, or host wellness events such as health fairs, fitness days, sports tournaments, or blood drives. You might also be called upon to manage a fitness center or create a successful employee wellness program where you give employee health education and help employees to ditch unhealthy lifestyle habits and make healthier lifestyle choices.

Any wellness coordinator must be able to develop wellness programs and educational programs and possess CPR, customer service, and knowledge of HIPAA regulations and standards. You must also possess analytical, communication, and detail-oriented skills. The average yearly salary of any wellness coordinator is $45,022 or $21.65 per hour
