The number of minority students is on the rise in the United States. From only 29% in 1996 to 47% in 2016, the attendance of racial and ethnic minorities is expanding at public and private institutions alike.
However, the biggest increase has taken place in less-selective institutions, such as community colleges and public four-year institutions. While it’s great to see that minority students are getting more access to higher education, it does come at a cost.
That’s where we come in. We’ve compiled a list of 30 great scholarships for minority students to apply for that will help eliminate some of those costs.
